When I left the car I could smell the hickory smoke from the car. We ordered the sampler's so we could try multiple meats. The chip (mutton & pork mix) was best as a sandwich to my taste. The pork, ribs, and turkey were moist and not dried out as is often the case at other BBQ places. Flavors were good. Baked Beans were spectacular. Chocolate & Coconut pies were very good and had a light meringue top. The chocolate was a very deep chocolate flavor. The samplers provided enough meat for a second meal the next day. The pie was eaten much later that day because we were stuffed. Seating is minimalistic with a few booths and a couple of chairs. Now if they would just bring back Diet RC! I want caffeine in my cola. The smell f the hickory smoke reminded me of Macs.

I would give this place a second chance if I would be around Henderson and wanting some BBQ. The sauce is very runny however and I enjoy much thicker sauces. It doesn't have much spice to it. I got the sampler plate and their beans. The beans are the best part and their most popular seller. If you like baked beans then you will enjoy those here! The pulled pork was okay, but I enjoy thicker sauce personally. But if you like BBQ and supporting local people then this is a great little food spot that is hidden in Henderson. Disclaimer: This establishment does not accept credit or debit cards. Come with cash in hand.

Was craving some KY mutton so stopped in on my way to Tennessee. Had the sampler plate with mutton, chip, and pork. All 3 were excellent but the mutton and chip YUMMY! Baked beans were good, potato salad so-so. It’s a no-frills small joint but there is parking and a few tables inside. Plasticware and RC cola so if you’re a spoiled diva this place probably won’t make you happy lol. I’d come back and eat here anytime.

By far the Best BBQ and beans around. I love the chopped BBQ pork and the mutton. The beans, I could eat a plate of them all by themselves. They are a secret recipe that is packed with meat and his special sauce that will have u coming back for more. I have bought a set of sauces boxed for gifting to send to a friend out of town. The fresh squeezed lemon aid with real cane sugar is sure to quench any thirst and not to mention the homemade pies that are sure to make you want to take one home. I must say since Im from Owensboro, Ky, I would put them up, way up from Moonlight or Old Hickory or all around, any day. I sent everyone here. Its one of those small gems u can't just keep to yourself. When I'm out of town, we always ask around for that 'hole in the wall best kept secret place' where the locals go. This is ours here in...

I've been coming here for about 50 years. To get the best out of your eating experience, I would suggest that you ask for your BBQ "chipped." To simply ask for BBQ will result in a rather so-so sandwich. When it's "chipped," the juice will absorb every morsel of meat like a sponge; this is especially the case with mutton. When you ask for it "chipped," you will get a sandwich with a lot of BBQ juice that will enhance the flavor enormously. (And this rule should be applied wherever mutton is sold in a BBQ restaurant.) It will probably be impossible to eat such a sloppy concoction with your hands, but you can try. Better, though, ask for a plastic knife and fork. While the BBQ is good, the brown-sugared BBQ beans sold here is the dish that has made this place's name in the...
