Grandma's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Henry

What can i say about this place. For starters, after driving for 11 straight hours from Buffalo NY, to Henry IL, we checked into our hotel, and were absolutely starving and dying for a beer. Not alot to offer in Henry, but Grandma's seemed to offer the low key digs and comfortable atmosphere and food that we wanted. We walked in and were greeted by Val, who as charming and personable as could be. They had a great selection of beers and liquor, and even though the kitchen was closed, Val offered to make us a pizza (which was actually a great pizza, and we're from Buffalo, so.... ya know.) They had pool, jukebox, darts, gambling machines, and they even have an extreme bingo night. We were then introduced to the owner Joe and his Mrs, who's name escapes me, but they were the most hospitable and welcoming people that we have met in our journey so far. Also, big shoutout to Roger for being such a friend to a couple strangers tumbling thru. Highly recommend this place for libations as well as food, and you never know what other distilled treats may fall into...

You really can't beat the food or the people here! Ana and Joe are so outgoing and love to talk with all their patrons, by the end of the night you'll have some new friends in town. Went there for my birthday with some friends, happened to land on karaoke night and it was a blast. Asked the bartender to surprise me with a strawberry and cream drink since I don't drink often, and it was hands down the best drink I've ever had. Will be going back this summer and will be ordering about three rounds of their signature garlic cheese curds. You won't find better than Grandma's...

It has a great atmosphere, the staff is always ready to take your order and to have a nice conversation with you. They are very friendly and they always try to make you feel welcome. The owners are great and will always make the effort to come greet you weather you are new or a regular customer. There food is always well prepared and it's delicious. Our personal favorites are the Steak or Chicken Philly, they are too die for. So, if you're in the area and you're hungry or thirsty, stop in at Grandmas Bar and Grill in Henry, you'll be glad...
