Subway — Restaurant in Henry

I've been going to this Subway in Henry, Illinois for 15 years. I don't I've every had a really BAD sandwich here. And some of the offerings are very good for, you know, a sub shop.

My unfavorable impression today was due to the filthy state of the one bathroom (it's always been too small; but it hasn't always been nasty).

Clues that the staff is either overworked or disaffected? No paper hand towels in the roll-type dispenser. So even if your hands were clean when you entered, they will be filthy when you leave. The drinks station was relatively clean and well-ordered.

But the inability to wash one's hands anywhere on the customer side means that the dirtiest hands that used and left the bathroom are the hands that will almost invariably have pawed through the cups, the utensils, the straws, etc. There was no way for you to sanitize your hands in this place, at least when I was there.

A clean, sanitary food service set up is so obviously required and FUNDAMENTAL that there should be no excuse for such slovenly conditions.

If within, say, 12 hours of stopping here, you find yourself rushing to the toilet (and I hope you're home when that happens), then you'll have seen several clues as to why that might have happened.

Of course, there are many reasons that you might experience some unwelcome gastric responses. It's not always the restaurant. But it's a safe bet.

Besides, after living through COVID, being masked, wiped down, sanitized at every turn, there is no excuse for these conditions to exist in a food service establishment.

I love subway I always get a turkey salami with lots of veggies! My favorite is Olivia she is the sweetest most kind person I have ever met. She makes the BEST cookies. I love that girl Jordyn too! She always serves my food with a smile. There’s a younger girl that recently started working there she is so quick and always gets my order right. There’s a girl with reddish hair and she’s always so sweet to me and she lets me talk her ear off. The boss Dawn has to be doing something right, they are the best subway I have been to my entire life. Dawn is so quick and helpful during lunch rush! She has a lot of people’s orders memorized. They all are like a family to me, just tearing up thinking about it. That’s what makes an amazing group...

The server was visibly irritated with his customers as I sat and watched him take orders he shake his head scratcheds had given the ugly look of the stain while doing his job is very annoying to watch this because when Because when the server asked my wife what she wanted she said a number 8 and he said you can have anything you want on it you didn't even look at the ingredients that goes on the Sandwich and he scratches his head and acted with an attitude need to...
