Wow wow wow wow. We just finished eating here 15 min ago, and I am still at a loss for words to describe how amazing the food was.
We got five dishes: Stir Fried Noodles. The hand-pulled noodles were the stars of the show here. They had perfect texture, and a slight bounciness to them.
Beef and Onion Goshnan. These were large, flat dumplings. The dough was clearly handmade dough. They soaked up the juices from the filling well, and still maintained their crispness and flakiness.
Lamb Kebab. Spiced with cumin and other warm spices. Cooked to perfection.
Beef Noodle Soup. Again, hand-pulled noodles were amazing. The broth was nice and light, but had a lot of body.
Eggplant Salad. This dish floored us. It was a perfect balance of salt, umami, fat, sweetness, and acid. This is a must get.
Obviously, I am highly recommending Bostan Uyghur Cuisine. This place is special, like eating dinner in someone’s own home. Each dish was its own unique experience, something you’ll have to try...
Read moreThis was the first time the three of us had tried Uyghur food, and everything was fantastic. The textures and flavors of the hand-pulled noodles in the lagmen and chicken stew were extraordinary. Nothing can compare to the texture of hand-pulled noodles made fresh on location! The Kazan beef kababs are pan-fried with onions and much more flavorful than typical middle eastern kababs. The meat dumplings were also delicious and tasted similar to Chinese dumplings. The host was very helpful in explaining the menu, dishes and even Uyghur culture to us. We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. We hope more people discover this location so they can expand their menu to include all the dishes available at their larger...
Read moreWe had a delightful culinary adventure into the heart of Uyghur cuisine. The dishes were a testament to the rich flavors and unique cooking techniques of this region. The beef noodle soup was a standout, with a rich, savory broth that was both comforting and invigorating. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the tender beef was tasty. The shepherd salad was refreshing, with a nice balance of tangy dressing and fresh, crisp vegetables (a bit under seasoned). The goshnan was a flaky, buttery flatbread stuffed with a slightly bland beef mixture. Its crispy exterior and soft interior made for a truly satisfying bite. The service was good. A very casual, small restaurant. Overall, it provides a fantastic introduction to...
