Food: ★☆☆☆☆ The menu, though extensive, failed to live up to its promises. The grilled meats, which should be succulent and flavorful, were overcooked and bland. Side dishes seemed to be an afterthought, lacking the freshness and vibrancy expected of Brazilian cuisine.
Service: ★☆☆☆☆ Service was dismally slow and inattentive. Our server was elusive, and our needs were consistently overlooked. The hospitality and warmth that should characterize a Brazilian dining experience were glaringly absent.
Ambiance: ★★☆☆☆ Though the ambiance was the restaurant’s only saving grace, it still left much to be desired. It teetered between an attempt at authenticity and an overly dramatized caricature of Brazilian culture.
Value: ★☆☆☆☆ Given the quality of the food and service, the prices were exorbitant. The value for the money was simply not there, leaving a sour taste that lingered longer than any of the flavors from the meal.
Detailed Review:
El Churrascaso Brazilian Grill, nestled at 3694 W 12th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33012, was chosen in anticipation of a night of culinary delight. Regrettably, the experience was anything but delightful.
Food: The parade of meats, usually a spectacle of variety and flavors, was an uninspiring procession of overcooked and under-seasoned cuts. The signature picanha was dry, the lamb lacked the aromatic infusion of herbs, and the chicken was unremarkably bland. The salad bar, rather than offering a fresh and colorful accompaniment, featured wilted greens and uninspired selections.
Service: Expectations of warm, attentive service were met with disappointment. Requests were met with indifference, and the staff’s lack of engagement turned the dining experience into a solitary, unenjoyable affair.
Ambiance: The decor was a confused mix, struggling between traditional Brazilian aesthetics and a generic, uninspired design. The music, intended to infuse life and energy into the space, was barely audible over the clamor of discontented diners.
Value: The bill, a painful reminder of the evening’s experience, did not reflect the quality of the meal. Every dollar spent echoed the stark gap between expectation and reality.
In the aftermath, the echo of disappointment rings louder than the distant, unconvincing beats of samba playing in the background of El Churrascaso Brazilian Grill. Hialeah deserves an establishment that pays true homage to the richness of Brazilian cuisine – unfortunately, this is...
Read moreThe is the first review I have ever written about any restaurant. My family and I have been ordering from El Churrascaso since it opened up in Hialeah. We always have had a wonderful experience with the food and service. Up until a couple of weeks ago, we called to place a to go order of the 2lbs of parrilla mixta with rice, Greek salad and yuca frita. (our favorite!) When my husband goes to pick up the order he asked the "manager" if the sauce was inside for the yuca frita because who can eat them without the sauce?! and she confirmed that she had just put it in. He comes home and sure enough there is no sauce for the yuca in the bag. He goes back to the restaurant and he asked for an extra sauce the manager wanted to charge him for the extra sauce...We had to go back to the restaurant to get stuff that was missing from the order shouldn't the correct customer service be to just give an extra sauce? He also did give a $10 tip for a pick up order. At this point, its not even about the sauce anymore its about the poor service we were receiving from the lady that stated was the manager He comes home with no sauce because he was very upset. I go back to the restaurant with the yuca fries (this is now the third time were going to the restaurant) and I asked for a refund the "manager" was very rude and speaking loud enough for the other patrons to here what is going on. I'm very disappointed in the service we received from one of our favorite restaurants and its a shame that we wont be going back. Hopefully the staff or should I say manager get the proper training needed when it comes to...
Read moreOnly rating this 2 stars because my sons plate was worth the price but other than that, this was overrated, over priced and the worst part of all of this was that after being neglected during our time there (our server came to our table of 7) 3 times 1-to take the order, 2- to bring the drinks and 3- to bring us our food and then never circled back with us. Then she brings us the check with an 8% tax! 8% in Hialeah???? So the breakdown she says was 7% local tax and 1% tourist tax! Tourist tax????? She said she would bring us the manager and never did, she said we weren’t being charged it as customer but rather that the restaurant was being charged that to keep the location open. But it was added to our tab? Yes it’s a 1% additional but if that 1% is supposed to be restaurants responsibility then why would the customers have to pay it? Then we asked for a copy of the receipt and she brought us one that didn’t show the breakdown but rather just an amount. The food was mid, we waited over 45 mins for the 3 lb option, it was def more like 1 lb! And the potato salad is stuffed BJ’s Wholesale club potato salad, it was 🤢
The grilled cheese was over $10 for 2 small squares of cheese! It was honestly a rip off and we will not be returning. The AC wasn’t working fully, everyone was breaking a sweat. You would think with their bogus taxing, they’d at least have a good temperature setting but…....
