Update to One Star Review: The owner phoned my husband the very next day to apologize and confirm a full refund had been processed (without our having to visit the store) and that he also gifted us credit for a future order. More importantly, he said he took corrective actions with staff to ensure customer satisfaction going forward. Great! Because I have no doubt the staff was 'partying' in the back that night. He was gracious, extremely apologetic, and has restored our trust in his business. We now look forward to a future meal at Pita'z!! Thank you, Eli!!
Formerly a One Star Review: Pita’z has been ok in the past but tonight was a MAJOR FAIL. Ordered 2 gyro sandwiches (1 w/out onions) and 1/2 lb hummus w/ pita bread online; ready in 20 minutes per confirmation. Husband was 5 minutes early for pickup. We live 4 minutes away. First off, no marking on the wrapped sandwiches to tell which sandwich had no onions so we had to open each to look. Secondly, upon unwrapping the sandwiches we found the pita bread was cooked/stuck to the paper each sandwich was wrapped in, and they were cold and soggy inside. Much like they were made in advance and sitting there waiting for an order to come in, and sat under a not very hot heat lamp. THEN to top it off, I go back to the store (w/ food in hand) for a refund and they tell me (short version) they can’t process refunds for online orders and I’ll have to come back tomorrow but they’ll remake my order. Uh, NO I don’t want any food!!! The food was absolutely disgusting and it should’ve been good the first time especially when we drove to p/u, AND tipped $3. This whole experience has been a total turn off from a place we used to...
Read moreFirst off, the coke is mine. I used it for scale. They've got fountain drinks.
Guy who took my order was super nice and personable.
I got a gyro (took off tomatoes and onions). The meat wasn't dry and it had plenty of tzatziki.
8oz of tzatziki for 5 bucks. It came with a sizeable bag of pita chips, but you could choose veggies or regular pita too. It has shredded cucumber running through it, which I love and rarely find. I did add some dill and lemon, but that's my personal preference because I like it tangy and with dill.
The bowl is huge. Tons of meat, tzatziki, chonky feta, olives, cucumbers, and rice (it inudes onions and tomatoes too, but I took those off).
I got a couple orders of pita to eat with my bowl. Their pita is thin, which I like for scoopin'.
Onion rings were great. I got it with garlic sauce. It's not a little 1oz tub like most places use. This is 2 or 3 oz. Their garlic sauce is fire. I'll be ordering a tub of it instead of...
Read moreI am so thankful for this very good Mediterranean quick pick-up restaurant. The quality is excellent, and everything is deliciously seasoned. I find it to be a very welcome oasis of dining variety in a vast landscape of hamburger joints. We enjoyed our chicken and gyro schwarma and go there frequently for it. Both to the CenterPoint Rd location and the New Bo Market location. They have delicious salads and small bite tuffed grape leaves. They have excellent Fatoush, but I save that for summer. No reason, really. I think of it as a summer treat. Pretty good falafel. Tabouleh, Hummus, and Babaganoush are all very good. There is a dine in area, it has minimal ambiance but is mostly clean. One nice bonus is that when you finish your meal you can walk right through the connecting door to a very good and relaxing coffee shop; "Roasters". The server at the counter was very nice and helpful and had a geniune smile, which I value in...
