I visit this establishment frequently it is on the ride home from my daughter's school and it is convenient. Unfortunately we had a visit recently my daughter ordered the children's Happy Meal with chicken nuggets she got no sauce with it and requested honey mustard her fries were also cold. We tried to call that evening and no one answered the phone so the next morning my husband called to tell them he spoke with a gentleman that took his name down and said it will be taken care of at our next visit. I came through several nights later and gave Nancy my husband's name. She asked who we spoke with I told her it was a gentleman but I didn't have his name but he said he was a manager. She then stated that there was no men that were in management that work there nor they answer the phone. Unfortunately I called Nancy in a bold-faced lie. I confirmed with my husband v i a text and he assured me it was a gentleman he spoke with and Nancy slipped up then and told me the general manager would be in in the morning and she accidentally said he would be there around 8 a.m. I then simply pointed out I thought she said there wasn't any men that answered the phone nor that were in management there. She then stated that" oh yes the general manager is a male but you said you were here at night and he doesn't work nights." I then reiterated to her that we called the next day and spoke with the gentleman. She was rude crude and socially unacceptable. She gave me a hard time over a $5 meal because I didn't have the receipt yet I showed her numerous receipts that were in my car from her restaurant showing how often I frequent there. She made me feel belittled and like I was being dishonest. Even after I caught her lying. She refused to make the order correct as we were promised and I left. My daughter and I went down the road to Wendy's and had a wonderful meal and the people that were so kind and courteous and professional and I will never revisit that mcdonalds location again. I mean does the place not have cameras? I have the date and time of when we were there can they not check them to verify that I came to the drive-thru and my order was over $11? I didn't keep the receipt because the manager that spoke with my husband took his name down and that's all we were led to believe that we would need was to give our name. It's a shame for a restaurant to lose a customer that spends well over $40 a month over about a $5 meal. I mean my daughter has been collecting the Shopkins Collectibles from the Happy Meals and has all the Barbie ones. JENNIFER- did u know that you can go to JAIL for making ILLEGAL UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS ON PEOPLES DEBIT CARDS!!! VERY VERY RUDE AND pretends to not know her last name when asked after she did the worst thing any employee could ever do... this girl ask me to pull forward which normally I do when asked however my gas light came on while waiting in the drive thru 15 whole minutes ALREADY after paying for my food but before finally being greeted at the food window. I told her the situation and said I couldn’t pull forward until my food was handed to me. She proceeded to do an ABOUT FACE and screamed inside the restaurant that she needed help doing a REFUND.. #1 I paid and I waited over 15 minutes already... #2 once she finally came to window.. I NEVER ASKED FOR A REFUND... she made a refund transaction on my card WITHOUT my permission. #3 She never asked her manager what she should do... she thought by giving me an UNWANTED NOT ASKED FOR REFUND.. that I would just drive away with no food and only two drinks she handed us at the start... so DRINKS WERE GONNA BE FREE bec she threw cash into my hands wen she illegally performed a transaction on my card that i didnt ask for #refund #4 Before she slammed the window on me AFTER throwing Cash into my car.. I asked her what her last name was bec I wanted to report her.. She said she didnt have a last name!
So i waited in drive thru another 4-5 mins after she did what she did until other employees finally asked what was wrong.. and FINALLY the manager came.. he took the cash she had given me back...and gave us our food which she had just neglected in a bag inside the restaurant! Like it was just going to WASTE. The manager was very nice and he did apologize for this girl named JENNIFER - according to her NO LAST NAME.. white female who worked at 4pm on April 13th 2019 at Mcdonalds on hwy 70 in Hickory NC across from the Volvo Dealership! Jennifer (No Name) needs FIRED! Very very rude and CLEARLY doesn’t need to be working with the public. Read moreHi I am a crew member at this McDonald’s and I’m writing to apologize for all the things that have happened. Guys I’m really sorry that you have had this bad experience. I just feel you guys need to realize our point of view on things. We don’t just make your food we have to do things like cleaning the grills we have to pull them out and clean behind them and that takes like an hour or 2 and we only have 2 people and one of those people have to do it while the other one does your orders not only that but if we pull it out to far it turns off so there’s no grill to cook your food and it takes 15-20 minutes to turn back on. Almost everything in our McDonald’s is on its last legs we’ve had so many things break that we’re doing the best we can with what we have. Not only that but the people in the kitchen are doing the jobs of multiple people. Most times we have 1–2 people in the kitchen and there are hundreds of you guys coming to get food. We would love to make your food with compassion but if we’re not fast while making it we get yelled at. Also when your wondering why we messed something up on your burger like you ordered a cheeseburger no cheese and then we put no cheese and no pickle instead is because there are other people ordering something similar to your order and we have to memorize orders so our screen doesn’t get full because if it gets full then we get yelled at by management. If we’re not fast then management will send us home. I don’t think you guys realize how much is expected of us and most of these crew workers make around 10-11 dollars and working over 8 hour shifts 5days in a row because of how short staffed we are. Also imagine trying to give breaks with only 2 people in the kitchen that means somebody from service has to come fill in to give breaks making the workload even harder making us have to go even faster. I also need you to realize we’re like a machine if somebody it’s doing their best then the machine falls apart so when you think about the person that you think made your food wrong was probably not in the wrong.
