I recently moved to Highpoint and decided to visit Halal Gyro Place food truck, and man, it took me straight back to my NYC days—what a delightful nostalgia trip! From the moment I called in my order, I was impressed by the efficient process. The owner was professional, courteous, friendly, and attentive.

When I arrived to pick up my food, the enticing aromas reminded me of my favorite street vendors in New York. The first bite brought back memories of late-night food runs. The gyro was fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of tzatziki sauce. It reminded me why I love this cuisine! I had to have the rice and chicken, and it was a hit with my kids and wife. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with the sauce topping adding a fusion of spices.

What stood out was the attention to quality. The freshness of the ingredients showed their pride in the food. It had an authentic taste that evoked memories of my favorite NYC halal spots.

When visiting to my brother in Trinity,NC , he told me there is this place which sells really good halal food. As someone who lives in NYC was skeptical so we drove there and ordered chicken over rice, lamb over rice and side of falafels. I had also got side of pita bread and all was for $22 . I was surprised listening to price because it was cheap. And we wore told to wait for 10mins and got food in time. We sat in a picnic table next to their food truck. We devoured the food and loved it. I even talked to the guy and he was friendly. I hope they get more business cause they seem really nice and food...

Best platter I’ve had since eating them weekly while working in NYC.. ordered combo over rice. This spot here is as authentic as you can find, making the platter fresh for your order and cooked perfectly. The white sauce is exactly as I remember it should be… delicious and the hot sauce flavor is exactly what you need to elevate the entire experience to the next level.
