I’ve played this course for 8 years. It used to be my go to. Since Covid hit it has been a disaster. The rangers do nothing to enforce proper “golf etiquette” and pace of play. The greens, especially on the weekends, are inundated with ball marks that go unfixed. No one enforces keeping the flag untouched. You have some rough looking guys walking across the third fairway drinking 40s. The tee times are overbooked and they act ignorant as it comes to pairing people to improve pace of play. The staff basically acknowledged all of this with me today but are so apathetic to do anything about it. Today there was a group of 6 (3 carts) of college aged males and females (half and half) doing photo shoots along every fairway. I complained and it was completely ignored. Why do you even have staff if it’s going to be a free for all? Do yourself a favor and pay a few more dollars and play Oak Hollow (still a city course!). Why can they run efficiently and...
Read moreI've always enjoyed playing at this course. The staff has always been polite and helpful. The course maintenance is e excellent. The fairways are trimmed. The rough is fair and playable. The greens roll true. None of the greens are extremely fast or slow. Pin placement is what provides the challenge. Gradual up, down and side slopes must be considered. Overthinking the holes could cause you to putt too soft or hard. I like the layout. Holes 12 through 16 are my favorites. There are power lines throughout the front side, but they should not impact play. Sometimes play is slow. The rangers do a great job keeping play moving. Yet they are not heavy handed or annoying like some courses. This is a good course where you can relax and...
Read moreWish there was a way to give 3.5 stars because it’s not quite 4 stars but a little above 3. It’s a good value course and the staff is great. I give it 3 stars for the greens. I really wish they could re do them with an updated hybrid Bermuda. They’re in good shape but very soft and really slow. You really have to hit putts hard to keep them online. Also it’s way past time to trim the trees back on 18 tee box. From the back tee box you have to play a rope hook to have a chance to hit the fairway. That hole would be so much more fun if you could hit a normal tee shot. Fairways and tees are in decent shape. It’s a fun, short course and...
