This may have been the worst food I've eaten.
I'll start off by saying the chips and salsa were pretty good. The rice was also fine.
Their vegetarian dishes, however, were terrible. Most Mexican places have bean and cheese options for their veggie section. This place opted for mixed vegetables--weird choice in theory, and terrible in its execution. (There were some options for bean OR cheese tacos, burritos, etc., and perhaps those would have been a safer option, but having just beans or cheese and not the option for both made that sound boring.)
The black bean and mixed vegetable burrito had about 10 beans and the rest was whole mixed vegetables: entire baby carrots, broccoli and cauliflower florets, green beans, asparagus, zucchini, and squash. It was drowned in queso (not good) and your choice of red or verde sauce (about a teaspoon, not enough to add any flavor).
The veggie enchiladas were similar, but were overwhelmingly broccoli and cauliflower.
The veggie quesadilla suffered from the same whole vegetables, and to boot, made the person who ate it ill on the way home.
None of us finished our food (as in, we all ate less than half), and I hate wasting food, but this was inedible.
I usually opt for local places over chains, but I absolutely regret not just going to Qdoba, Chipotle, or even Taco Bell...
Read moreEXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Especially the manager, Maggie.
When I called to let them know they messed up my take out order, instead of apologizing and offering to make me a new order or provide a refund the entire staff proceeded to play Sherlock Holmes and try to figure out who made the order incorrectly. I sat there, on hold, while the person who answered the phone asked no less than 5 people “who made this lady’s order wrong”
Finally, I get annoyed and say “I don’t care who made it wrong! It doesn’t matter to me, I really just want this fixed” Maggie claimed I was “ignert” but finally did tell me I could come get a refund.
THEN! I drive all the way back to this place, walk in and and what do I hear?! MAGGIE! Talking poorly about me loudly behind the wall in the front. I had a front row spot to hear this as I stood in the doorway for about 3-4 minutes before being acknowledged.
Maggie walked up to me and said “we refunded you” and that was it. Why did I even have to come back up there if she was going to be so unprofessional? Why not just avoid meeting completely? I am absolutely stunned at how low this place has fallen. When first opened under the same ownership as popular restaurants like Chihuahua’s, I really had high hopes. What an embarrassment of an operation...
Read moreWith food I normally don't do reviews, I get you can have a bad day. But we've given this place 4 tries now and I can't help but mention the rudeness of the employees. As soon as we arrived the attitude started we were greeted with an extremely flat and almost aggressive table or booth? After that we order our drinks, and got out chips, which were fresh and delicious. When placing our order we both asked for a couple minutes. Much later we were wondering where our waitress was and found her and the other 2 waitresses all on their cellphones scrolling through TikTok. We waited before we said anything just because we're not one to impose. But it became an obnoxious amount of time before we were checked on so my husband told the table of ladies hey were ready to order. She acted very annoyed and took our order. Food came very quickly and it was delicious, however this is our 4th visit and we have yet to have a decent customer service experience. We don't ask much just, get the water, get the order, and bring the food. We never need more than 1 refill of our beverage, we were just hoping for some kindness. So if customer service doesn't mean much to you, this place is decent when it comes...
