Service is awful. Food is only alright, and overpriced. If I ever go back, it will only be for the Central PA blues society, or the band Laredo (however I will look to see these acts elsewhere). So where should we begin.. after going there 4-5 times I've had these experiences and will now be taking my business elsewhere. The first time we went, it was for the Thursday Night NFL game, which they didn't have on any tv. When I asked the bar tender to put it on she told me "someone might be watching that tv," and instead of asking the people at the bar if they were, she just ignored my request. The game wasn't put on until I flagged down a different bar tender, about 20 minutes after it started. On another night the first pitcher we order produced 4 beers, but the second only produced three because there was so much foam, and it wasn't even filled to the top. The beer was flat. Was overcharged, they charged me for 4 pitchers despite the fact that I only had ordered three on my tab(I was drinking with friends.) I was asked by an employee to turn my backwards hat around despite the person sitting 2 seats away from me wearing their hat backwards. One bar tender often will pinch three glasses together, touching the inside of the glasses with his dirty fingers. Instead of using ice scoop, the same bar tender just scoops with the glass, again getting his dirty hands everywhere and also risking breaking a glass in the ice tray. You practically have to flag most of the bar tenders down for...
Read moreChampions Sports Bar was an experience but I probably will not have again. Upon walking into the establishment there is no sign to say whether to wait to be seeded or seat yourself so we just sat down. The server was extremely attractive very knowledgeable but one could perceive horribly overworked. She knew the menu but have not tried many things on it. The reason I had visited Champs was because of a Instagram post that advertise 10 wings for $10. Allows 10 whole wings not the little half wing Bings. When asked you know nothing of the promotion what did say the wings were pretty good. Being a Wing connoisseur like myself I do understand that some people like your wings fried hard and some people don't. I'm of the non fried hard wing type people. When you fry the winds hard whatever seasoning or dressing dry rub or marinade you put on a after they are fried doesn't have the capacity to stick properly. So was the case with the middleswarth BBQ chip wings that they should rename immediately. Chicken parmesan came with one my size piece of chicken but not enough sauce to cook the noodles it came with. The garlic bread was phenomenal on all levels. And the bacon cheese twisty fries we're better than most. As far as sports bars go it wasn't bad. I would recommend them for first-time goers just to have...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place but the service was so bad that we spent about 2 hours there and only managed to get served 2 rounds of drinks and an order of wings. The staff don’t seem to like each other and they all work very independently. They won’t even run credit cards for each other, which means once one of them is in the weeds, they stay in the weeds, and the customer has to deal with excessive waits. But if they worked together, they could serve customers faster and more efficiently, sell more drinks, have bigger checks and make more money. Hopefully they figure it out , because it’s a great location and the food I saw going to other tables looked really nice (aside: the menu is massive, which may have something to do with why they’re all in the weeds less than an hour after opening). But if it takes me 17 minutes just to get a menu and an hour for wings, it’s really hard for me to decide...
