Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Highwood

I placed an order tonight with Domino's for my son who has autism because I knew that a certain student from his High School was delivering pizzas this evening. My son looks up to this kid and he has become quite the role model. On my order, I requested by name that the student deliver it. I live a few minutes from the Domino's so usually I pick up my orders but the cost and extra time were worth having his peer-mentor deliver. I placed the order at 5:45 pm on my way home from my son's therapy appointment knowing I'd be home in 20 minutes. At 6:05 I got a call from a driver I didn't know saying he was in front of my house and he had been ringing the gate door for 5 minutes with no answer. I know they pride themselves on speed but in this case speed was at the expense of quality and service. The fact that they delivered 2 pizzas in 15 minutes makes me concerned whether they were made fresh for us and also I wouldn't have minded waiting for the driver I requested on my order. When I called the location to rectify the situation for the future, the manager Enrique didn't really care even though I told him I wouldn't mind waiting longer for my deliveries. We ordered from them earlier this week. I placed the order online at 6:40 and was told 34-44 minutes for entire order. My food was immediately put in the oven, we could see using the tracker on the website, it was taken out of the oven and double checked for accuracy at 6:57. I tried to call around 7:20 to find out where our food was since it’s been done cooking for over 20 minutes. They said it would be sent right out and get to us within 5 or 10 minutes. It didn’t arrive until 7:35. Longer than the original time given of 33-44 minutes. Longer than time they said when I called in. I was upset that we were getting pizzas that have been made for well over 30 minutes just sitting there before they even left the store to come to us. I was assured it would be fresh and warm. It absolutely wasn’t. We received a lukewarm pizza that needed to go in the microwave in order to eat it. The cheesy bread we ordered was blackened! We couldn’t eat it at all. I don’t plan on ordering from this place anytime soon because it was a waste of money. I tried to call back and speak to the manager and no one would speak with me.

My pizza took a long time. When I received a call from the driver (JACK) that he was here, he was very angry and annoyed because he wasn’t sure where he was. When I said I was going to head towards him and meet him up he didn’t like it and started yelling more. When I finally spotted the white dominos car, he was already driving off and said he wasn’t going to wait and didn’t want to give our pizza. He was being aggressive. The driver lied to the restaurant and said we were going to fight him.TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM THE DRIVER AND THE STORE. When we called the restaurant the manager Omar defended the driver. We were told that another delivery driver was on their way, with our pizza. But it took 1 hour to get here, and it seemed to be the exact same pizza as before because it was cold.
