Pizza Burg - Centerburg — Restaurant in Hilliar Township

As Columbus and it’s suburbs grow and encroach upon the surrounding small towns, one place remains the same. Pizza Burg in Centerburg Ohio. It’s understated entrance in a building next to a giant grain silo, says “hometown” before you even walk in. I tell the cashier, I happen to be in town and that I am here because of positing on a Facebook blog. I the ask what is your best Pizza? He suggest the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. I order that and an Italian sub. As I wait he tells his uncle the story of why I am there and how I found them. I meet his uncle, his mom, grandma and grandpa. This is truly is a family run business. As I wait, they serve cars through the old fashioned beverage drive through, the kind that all towns used to have. The place is decorated with local sports team trophies and a giant mural of The Shoe! A nice touch is that plates and napkins are out so you don’t have to ask. They are probably one of the happiest and most welcoming families that I have met in a very long time. They offer me a free drink as I depart with my cash of food. Grandpa is cleaning the windows as I pull out of the parking lot, telling me they keep the place nice and clean. The Bacon Chicken Ranch is excellent along with the Italian sub. It was a perfect decision to order from Pizzaburg thanks to my daughter. We did a pickup and it was ready on time and super friendly service. Got our food home and when I opened the box it looked like the perfect photo for an advertisement. Baked just enough, very generous toppings and the perfect flavor. I was so excited I was pretty much jumping around! Once again I was super pleased! This is my third time ordering from Pizzaburg and I have yet to be disappointed. Very generous with the portions of toppings, pizza is always done when they say it will be and delivery was prompt. The people working are always pleasant, and the drive through makes picking up food a breeze. The only thing I would change would be to bake the subs with Italian dressing directly on the them instead of in packet on the side. Small potatoes when it comes to good food though. Highly...
