The Center Scoop — Restaurant in Hilliar Township

Years ago I ordered a banana split I asked if I could have chocolate ice cream with the chocolate topping and the vanilla ice cream with the strawberry and pineapple topping the young lady could not comprehend what I was asking for. When I got the ice cream it was a dot of ice cream and a lot of whipped cream. This pass summer I was back in the area pulling a small trailer and had 3 grandchildren with me , I pulled into the parking lot I've only seen cars on the left side of the building and in line around the building and people were on the right corner under the overhang and there was not a sign directions on the drive thru so I pulled around the building and since I had the trailer I stopped to check it would go under the Overhang a young lady came to the order window and said she couldn't take my order because I was at the wrong window and got the owner and she first wanted me to pull out back turning left onto the state highway and go under the first overhang on the right side of the building.I said there is no sign saying drive-thru enter here and no one was in the drive ahead of me, she did tell the girl to go ahead and take my order if my grandchildren weren't in the car waiting for ice cream I...

I pulled up with my parents and kid. We ordered two blizzards, a small chocolate with sprinkles, and a medium chocolate with peanut butter cup.

Not only were the blizzards not made well (nothing was really mixed) but I had to send the medium chocolate back 2 times because they kept handing me a vanilla with peanut butter sauce. On the third time they gave me chocolate ice-cream with hot fudge and whipped cream. The girl didn't add up the total correctly, overcharged me and then told me she wouldn't charge me for an extra ice-cream seeing as she hadn't made it correct in the first place. After asking someone else to do the aforementioned chocolate the next person got that wrong as well.

We stopped here to kill a few minutes because we ended up in town earlier than we needed to be. The service was friendly, the soft serve and shakes we had were very good, and my friend’s fries were yummy. Even though they don’t have a sign indicating they take plastic...they do via a square reader. Finally, it was a nostalgic experience for me - taking me back to the little mom-n-pop ice cream shop I frequented in the summers growing up. Like any good eatery - twist-n-shake offers an experience as well...
