Place was recommended to us due to the home feeling, good food, and best service feeling. On Google, review looked like a good place to eat. After reading all reviews, I decided to try it out and drove 40 mins to try it out. We got sat immediately, the waitress asked for our a drink order, and they were out of Coke, Fanta & Raspberry Ict. Asked for water, & water had a funny taste to it, and it was tap. I settled for a Sprite & my son a Lemonade. They brought out croissant bread with no butter. I dont know if that is normal. We didn't have napkins, utensils, or small plates with it or on the table when we got sat. We ordered garlic cheese bread for appetizer to which came out burnt underneath and my salad was good but no utensils tried to get waitress attention to get utensils, & napkin and another waitress asked if we doing good & she got us the utensils but had a bit of bothered look for me asking for utensils & napkins. For dinner, I got shrimp Alfredo with a toss salad. Pasta was too aldente, shrimp size was good. My son ordered a personal pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni, and candian bacon with extra peperoni and cheese for $3.00 for each item, and we couldn't figure out if that was extra or normal serving. My son tried to take a bite of his pizza, and all slid off to his plate. He even waited for the pizza to cool off before taking a bite. Our waitress was sweet but seemed a bit overwhelmed or new to serving. The table next to us had dirty dishes, then dirty cups from being brought from tables that were being cleared up & it would get placed on that table. We had to basically be our own servers in the sense of we had to ask for utensils, napkins, refills because our server was busy & I noticed a server was asking for her help and repeatedly she(my server) told her I can't because she was trying to do her own and she stopped twice to help that other server. So, we were basically not serviced due to our server helping others. That same server who was asking for help over and over to our server was also being rude to another server(she had beautiful arm sleeve tatt) about her timing on the food. I saw that the server was embarrassed for calling her out on that that way due to her facial expression Maybe the rude server should have taken her back in the drinking area and called her attention & not in front of customers. My son felt bad for her. I honestly was not happy and my son saved up for 2 weeks to be able to take me out to dinner. He said the having dinner with me was worth it, but the money spent on the drive, service, food, & drinks wasn't worth it to come again. He wouldn't let me complain & just told me not to come back again. I want to blame being full moon, Friday night or maybe we came in after a rush but we were didn't get the great, good and friendly feeling that was so recommended.

I ended up in Hillsboro for lunch and upon a recommendation from an associate went to Frenkie's. I thought he told me the name of the restaurant was "Freakies" and that really peaked my interest. Luckily Google knew what I was looking for and sent me to Frenkie's. I really enjoyed the downtown building it was in and spent my lunch wondering what it once was. At first I thought it was an old hotel lobby but later I saw they had an old walk in safe behind the bar and thought maybe it was an old bank lobby. It had low ceilings and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. I had the chicken cordon bleu and was really excited since you don't see this on many menus. I was a little bit disappointed when it arrived and it was just a slice of ham on breaded chicken cutlet with alfredo sauce and spaghetti. However, it tasted ok. It was a quality slice of ham, the chicken cutlet was large (really too large) and tasted good. I would have liked a more structured chicken cordon bleu dish and this was more like something I would have thrown together at home. The staff was friendly, the prices were reasonable and I would give it another try if I was in the area. The setting in an old Texas bank (or possible hotel) is worth the visit.

We went to this bar on a Saturday night. The bartender served us when she finished talking to her friends that were sitting at the bar.We, waited about 5 minutes. When, she came to take our order she just looked at us. I asked for 2 Hennessy on the rocks with lemons. She brought them and walked away. I didn’t have a tab and I wasn’t going anywhere so I was ok with that. When, I ordered the second round she said I only have enough liquor for 1 shot. I told ok I still wanted it we could share. She poured the 1 shot into 2 glasses. When she brought me my tab it was over $60. I asked for a receipt. She gave me this one. She charged me for 6 drinks. I told her we on had 3. She said the first 2 were doubles. I told her I didn’t ask for doubles she tell BUT YOU DRANK THEM. I was in shock! I paid my tab. But, I will be contacting T.A.B.C.

My sister and I went to eat today at this restaurant. We have been going here for years and have always been impressed. Today was an unfortunate experience. We started asking the waitress about your bar, since we considered going the night prior. Just trying to chit chat and be nice. Not once did she ever smile. I then asked if she had a drink menu, where she quickly responded “No, it’s a full bar.” I said “Okay, well do y’all have…” I could not finish my sentence before she interrupted me and said “It’s a full bar.” I said “Okay….. do y’all have espresso martinis.” She walked away and asked the chef I believe, came back and said no. I said, okay well let us think about it. She comes back, and I ask for a “Bellini.” She asked multiple times what that was. I then said, “if you don’t have it, we will just do mimosas.” We didn’t want mimosas, but it is the easiest thing to make… So why not. We hear her and the chef arguing in the background. Saying they don’t know what a Bellini is and they don’t even know if they have orange juice. Which…. Any full bar would have orange juice….. About five minutes later we see another waitress walk by us and to the bar with two small Minute Maid orange juice things. Then, TEN minutes later she brings us the drinks. They were not in champagne flutes….. and it was filled with ice…. With a large straw. That is not the standards for a mimosas…. We did not even taste the champagne. It was mostly ice and orange juice. The worst experience of it all was the waitress. We felt very judged by her. She kept interrupting me. She never smiled. Would give us strange looks as she walked by. AND she does not know what a full bar is. Not only that…. But the food was sadly not good. I could go into detail about the food. But just don’t order the Steak tortellini fettuccine and cordon bleu dish. Not made by Italian standards. Again, we have always had great experiences here and love the owners. But today, we felt very...

ever had. A bit on the salty side for me personally but my sodium pallet is more sensitive than my husband’s and he thought they were perfect. Everyone raved about the service but that was where we had the problem. Our waitress took our order and never came back with my salad. It wasn’t until the food came that I mentioned this to the lady who brought our food and she immediately brought it out and apologized, I’m thinking it was a shift change issue with no communication. The waitress that left also didn’t put the mushrooms I asked for on the pasta. Even with that I was still pretty happy we stopped here until I went to the restroom. I was there 1 minute when someone tried to open the door but the doorknob was locked, I also said it’s busy pretty loudly. Two minutes later while I’m getting the toilet paper the door knob starts jiggling again and this time they open the door and I had to yell it was busy again and slam the door shut and lock it AGAIN. I tested the door knob before I left and this wasn’t a faulty knob so someone broke in while I was in there. I was more disturbed that only minutes prior it was a little girl who was in the restroom before me. What if this had been her and wouldn’t had been able to slam the door when that person tried coming in? I didn’t get to look who did it but we left right after because I was so mad that even happened. If the owners see this I recommend another type of lock being installed because the doorknob alone is not safe. The likelihood of us returning is slim to none since we live so far away but I hope they make the change...
