I've ordered a vegetable plate many times in 20 years, which comes with 3 vegetables. I got two vegetables and burnt toast from Aunt Bea's in Hillsville. I had to go through the drive-thru 2 more times, encountered the same person who would not hear me out, although I was very soft-spoken and nice to her. The first time the food was transferred to another container but was OBVIOUSLY the same food. The second time, it was slung out at me by the same hateful elderly woman with short brown hair and wearing glasses. She closed the window and wouldn't even listen to my request. What is happening to these people? Why are they allowed to be in customer service? The sad thing is I heard her be rude to the person in front of me during my first return trip through the drive-thru. Unacceptable.

Staying overnight in Woodlawn, VA, while on my way to South Carolina from Ohio. BBQ sounded good and it sure enough was at Aunt Bea’s. Pulled pork was great and the sauce was very good. Little tangy too. Sides of corn bread, green beans, and cream potatoes were tasty. Staff very friendly and the restaurant was very clean and well kept. Definitely a place I’ll dine again. Just one thing. In Ohio we call these mashed or whipped potatoes. Dang southerners confused this Yankee one again! 😁

It was cold outside so I ordered vegetable beef soup with grilled cheese sandwich. The soup had lots of ground beef in it and chunks of potatoes along with other vegetables. The grilled cheese sandwich was just how I make it at home. The bread was buttered prior to grilling. There was mayonnaise on the sandwich which blended well with the gooey, melted American cheese. It was a great warm me up meal that didn’t break the bank.

The staff is totally not helpful. We came here on Sunday andvthere was the big flea market event going on. Obviously they werent prepared for the volume of the day! Out of mac n cheese for the rest of the day, no more peach cobbler. My husband and I got catfish. Took FOREVER. Finally ready, order wrong. Finally ready again, missing my mashed potatoes and gravy. Finall got it. My catfish was so dark and way overcooked, on the outside and the inside was NOT flaky but almost gooey. I went up and told the guy working the register I couldnt eat it. He did nothing. So I got a bbq sandwich and asked him how long. He said not long. He later came to my table to let me know they ran out of bbq and were making more so it might be awhile. Really?? I showed him my fish and once again said I couldnt eat it. Again did nothing. He said "I was just letting you know it might be awhile" and walked away. The bbq was good. The ice cream we got was good. But the customer service was HORRIBLE. I would never go...

Walked in on a Sat nite at 8:20pm & the man sweeping the floor looked like he coulda punched us. There was only a FEW things available after advertising a full menu. They were suppose to close at 9PM. No one looked happy to see us! But. The young lady at register was very business like and said it's been a long day for us! And I said we've also had a long day but there was know need for ppl to have attitudes!. Now mind you they had a big flea market going on in town but, they did act like they cared for us at all!. My son in law asked for manager and told her about the attitudes she said she'd speak to them but, I don't care if I have to travel 50 miles away I'll never go in there again when I'm in town! Now we did find another resturant in the area called The Mason Jar. And it was good priced. Excellent service and great food!...

Haven't had aunt beas in a while and now I remember why. Pulled up and ordered "two double gravy biscuits, each with two eggs over easy, and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit with the egg fried hard"

I waited at the window for a few minutes for my order, that's fine though they were busy inside by the looks of it.

I checked my order though, and it wasn't right. I got 2 double gravies each with only one egg, my biscuit, and a fried egg on the side.

I explained it was not correct, told her what each item was supposed to be, and was asked to pull up and wait.

When she came back it was literally the exact same thing they gave me the first time. I explained the order a third time as clearly as I could and finally got the right order.

Felt like it took forever, but it was actually 15 to 20 minutes of waiting from the time stamped...
