Earl's Diner — Restaurant in Hillsville

This place is OUTSTANDING! Today was the first time that I have eaten there, and I regret having not ate here in the past. I have officially had a cheeseburger and fries at every restaurant in Carroll County, trying to find the best one out there, and I have found it! Not only do they have the best burger in Carroll County, it is the best Cheeseburger I have ever tasted in my life! The consistency of the burger itself was juicy with the slight crisp on the outside. It was perfectly seasoned, not too much, not too bland. The lettuce was still crisp, the tomato was the perfect size and thickness, and the bun had the ideal firmness. The service was great, with great attention to detail. I'm used to trash being left to the side until the meal is done, and our waitress was on the ball from the first moment. She even grabbed the straw wrappers. Of course, all of the usual keeping drinks full, checking on food taste with us, and anything else you would expect, was taken care of, but she went above and beyond. If you are looking for an incredible burger with some great service, this place will blow you away! I sincerely hope that they can keep this up, I will certainly be back!

OMG 😃 DELICIOUS 🤤 I had several people recommend this place so I finally decided to try it . I have to say everything they told me was accurate. The food is awesome ! Home cooked , the way restaurants used to be and needs to be . I got the cheeseburger 🍔 and I haven't had one so good in a long time . It's made to order however you want it with whatever you want on it no extra charge . And the food looks like pictures in commercials the way you wished food looked . I also got macaroni salad (homade ) it was delicious and creamy . Last , but not least for dessert , pecan pie which was homade and had whipped cream on top . I also sampled the fried squash my friend ordered that I'm definitely getting the next time I go . I can't wait to go back . So glad I tried it . The diner is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside . I love this place . Small town dining at its best. We were warmly welcomed to this amazing place.

Burgers, club sandwich, fries and onion rings…perfect! Burger tasted like my grandmother’s from years ago when it was homemade. From behind the counter, one of the folks said…”You got to have cake!”. I waited until the end of my delicious meal and said Yes! Our server asked, “Whip cream?” And proceeded to convince me that everything was better with whipped cream. The cake was NOTHING like I have had before. Smooth white cake with chocolate and my generous serving of the whipped cream.

I cannot thank the staff that made me feel like I was their regular customer that they knew what I wanted before I entered the restaurant!
