First, I want to say I’m not sure I’ve ever actually left a restaurant review - especially a negative one. We arrived just after 7:30p. Online the hours state they’re open until 10p. It was over 10 min until someone even came over and when she finally did the very first thing she said was, “Our kitchen is closing so you’ll need to order quickly.” I suggested we start with a drink order which I gave her immediately. It’s now 7:46p. Our drinks finally came - iced tea with sweetener, iced water and lemonade for my daughter. While I was asking for sweetener and ice (none in my tea) my 4yo took a drink of her drink and stated it was bad. I tried it and it was void of flavoring - perhaps a fountain drink that the flavor bag had emptied. No big deal. Asked for a Sprite. I immediately ordered and included for an appetizer we asked to come out first. It took 40 min for our food to come but when my daughter asked to go to the bathroom and we walked in the restaurant, all of our food was just sitting underneath the lights, including the appetizer, while 5 staff members milled about. I should also note all the food (burger, crab burger, cheese quesadilla and buffalo chicken dip) was average at best. My favorite part though was when the table beside us, who I’m sure experienced the same level of service, tipped nothing, the male server went to retrieve his tip and loudly exclaimed, “Are you fuc%ng kidding me? They didn’t leave a fuc%ng tip! I can’t believe it!” Well, I can, and now, my 4yo daughter can too. Was our first visit and will most certainly...
Read moreWe have family in Hilton Head and have been coming down here several times a year my entire life. This was our first stop at this local joint, and it was excellent! The staff all helped each other out, so the service was on point.
Everyone was thrilled with their meals. We were lucky to have the okra special - if it’s on the menu when you’re there, definitely get it. I haven’t had okra like that since my grandma passed away. The french fries were perfectly crispy, and the hush puppies were what dreams are made of. I would recommend the crab cakes as well! Also, very generous portions with the shrimp! You can’t beat their happy hour deals, but even without them, it feels like a steal compared to other bar tabs on the island. $5 house wine or beer at full price? Sign me up.
It is definitely a casual spot where everyone knows each other, but we felt just as welcome as a regular. Some local bars give you a side-eye walking in, but I felt like I’ve been coming here all my life. I can’t wait to come back and sit out on their fabulous deck when it warms up!
Don't let the parking lot fool you! We thought it might be impossible to get a table but we were seated immediately. Between the marina and the neighboring restaurant it looked more crowded...
Read moreThis place is definitely a nice spot to have drinks, and catch up with friends alongside scenic waterfront. However, I believe it is a hit or miss, and when my family dined in.....it was a miss for us.
Our server was nice, but front door staff acted as if I offended them/her, when I walked in the door. I am unsure of her name, but she continued to mumble to her coworker about something every time I attempted to tell her our seating preference and party size (4).
After we were seated, we ordered drinks, but there was no tea, Sprite, or ginger ale available; of course, all of these were our drink choices. We were made aware of there not being any tea, but the Sprite and Ginnger ale made it to the table, and we had to send it back.
We ordered a 2 burger meals, a childrens chicken finger, and a shrimp dinner. The kiddie chicken finger, and our shrimp meal was right, but my partner's burger meal was made wrong twice. ( I wasn't able to eat my meal because it was also wrong.) By the time my children finished eating, my partner and I were at our limits with just wanting our meals to be right. I will say, my daughter THOROUGHLY, enjoyed her shrimp, but due to watching everyone else eat, I ended up leaving hungrier...
