There are so many delicious, local, sandwich shops around, I'll never understand how Subway ever got popular. Yeah, they're a little bit cheaper and have some loss leaders to entice customers on particular menu items. However, if I hadn't been with a group of people that insisted, I probably wouldn't of even tried them again. Unfortunately the sandwich bread is as cardboard tasting as I remember it being and the veggies, while looking nice, didn't have much flavor, either. It's not great when I go one week and can get EXACTLY what I want, food from the menu. It's a subway, I know what the menu is, but for the flat bread and personal pizza, the menu hasn't changed an awful lot in the years.
