Kinney Drugs Pharmacy — Local services in Hinesburg

Astonishingly rude pharmacy staff. We just moved to town and had one prescription filled there and will not be returning. This is the closest pharmacy to our house but we will be driving to the next town to avoid ever having to interact with the pharmacy staff again. After speaking with our neighbors, the local consensus is they have a reputation for being terribly rude, and many local people also go elsewhere. More alarmingly, we spoke with a former employee who told us they are also gossips who talk about people’s prescriptions. Medications can be a very sensitive thing, and the people providing them should have integrity and professionalism, but you won’t find that at this pharmacy. Usually I've only experienced professional and friendly service. Today I got in line behind one lady and waited quietly to pick up my one prescription. I had a bag of m&ms and a bottle of nyquil in my hands. After a few minutes another lady got in line behind me. The pharmacist finished helping the lady in front of me and then smiling politely asked the lady behind me who she was picking up for? She didn't acknowledge my presence at all. I stood there like an idiot wondering if she was just asking the question of the lady and would turn her attention towards me. She didn't and proceeded to check her out. The actual store and the staff are fine, friendly people.

The pharmacy however is an absolute disaster. Not only do they all seem miserable, they're very apathetic in both social and work skills. It has taken them at one point almost three weeks to get my script filled for whatever reason, and that is with weekly checkups to see if they'd completed it. Good luck finding out when/if it's ready as they will not usually notify you (although their automated call system has gotten a bit better.)
