Dunkin' — Restaurant in Hinsdale

Terrible experience. DO NOT ORDER A CAKE FROM THIS LOCATION. I ordered a custom ice cream cake for my daughters 7th birthday party. When I arrived to pick it up they didn’t have it. It was never made - a mistake due to their staffing issues. In the store I was given a premade cake from the freezer just to have something to serve. It was nothing near the custom cake I ordered. They initially told us another cake could be made in 45 min (as the party was that day) but the owner called and said this was not the case. As she’s calling me to tell me about the staffing issues that led to my cake not being made I told her I’m actually at my daughters party and cannot engage her. I told her I would just like a refund. She refused saying that we were given a premade cake so we cannot get our money back. Terrible owner - you should be ashamed of yourself. You did absolutely nothing to right the wrong. This was a child’s birthday party that you impacted. Terrible customer service. To give a refund and a free freezer cake to make up for the mistakes made by your staff is not much to ask. I will never go to this...

I called the store in Hinsdale, IL to see if they sold their ground coffee by the one-pound bag or a 12-oz bag, and in what flavors; and if they do, at what price (I know the store I went to in Boston did, but I wasn't certain if this one did, and it's been ages since I've been to a Dunkin' Donuts). The woman who answered the phone was Hispanic, and didn't seem to understand a damn word I was saying. It took her 3 solid minutes to realize she didn't speak or understand English, so she put the phone down, ostensibly to either figure out what I was saying, or to hand me over to someone else. Well, after waiting another two minutes, NO ONE bothered picking up the phone to help me.

I guess I'm not going to go there any more, even though they're only one town away. I'm also reluctant to buy their coffee in any store after...

I just wanted my hash browns :(... First I was ignored at the cash register. If it was busy I'd understand.... But they were talking about each other laughing. Finally one came over and I got to order. They seemed nice when I ordered so that's something xD. But then after 3 other customers came in and left, I asked where my food was. They said it was coming.... Another 2 customers. Once again, if it was busy I would understand. But we're talking a sizable Gap. One of the customers even had hash browns! Finally they realized they messed up and gave me my hash browns.
