Las Catrinas Authentic Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Hobart Township

It Was on Valentine's Day, and I took my three daughters out to eat, and was to get to news that I was going to be a first-time grandma!!! This restaurant ruined part of our day!!!! It was the WORST restaurant service I have ever experienced in my 44 years! The waiter was not attentive at! And was also rude and screamed at me in front of everybody when I try to pull them off to the side and get what I needed for my table and talk to him about this! I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT I COULDN'T ORDER MY FOOD THE WAY THAT I WANTED IT JUST CAME HOW IT WAS MADE! I talked to the restaurant manager and he just took my MONEY did not offer to compensate me in any kind of way whatsoever! And I said really there's going to be no compensation for what just happened?? He says oh I'm sorry I'm sorry and proceeded to take my money and like I said! I paid over $35 for that kind of service!! And the food wasn't all that great either! Because we couldn't even have her food the way we wanted it!!!! Yeah I didn't expect for them to respond to this review either!!! Mark my words they won't cuz I spoke to the useless manager!

This was our first time here, and we got there unbeknownst 2 mins before closing. But Darnell welcomed us with open arms anyway. He was our server, host, cashier, busser and bartender. Let me start off by saying that he is such an awesome person with the best attitude and great recommendations. He made a delicious margarita ( the best I've ever had-margaritas are my favorite drink and I'm a former bartender/server for years) and the food was also on point. It came really hot, fresh and quick. We ate everything on our entire plate! The establishment was very clean and welcoming. The people next to us were first timers, too and they were also impressed and complimenting. We all left happy and full. We will be coming back and bringing more people to see him. Thank you for the great experience. We can't wait to share this place with our friends....

So today was my third time there the food is great. Very authentic and some of the best flavors around. But unfortunately I had to drop a star you guys raise your prices which I totally understand the cost of everything but you have now priced me out of your restaurant. And then to be honest with you, when I went to pay the bill, it was a different waitress. The first waitress had left for the day. I added a $10 tip the total for two adults and two kids came to like $84. When I look at the receipt outside, I noticed that there is an 18% gratuity. Added to my check that I wasn’t told about.
