We loved going to this place till we had our wedding in September of this year here.

We booked this place a year in advance and within that year, management changed 3 times. We didn’t get notified till I emailed them to update some things. Communication was not good at all! Managers didn’t communicate events at all. During the month of the wedding the manager and I went back and forth with texts to make sure things were perfect. But the manager didn’t update a lot of things on their side. The day before, we went in to set up some decor. Her fiancé came up and introduced himself as she was not feeling well. Day of, he ended up taking control of the event even though she was there.

The Groom and his party showed up day of at 9am to help set up. And no one was there to open the doors for them. I had to call manager and she told me to tell them to go knock on the other door. One of the cooks saw them but wouldn’t let them in. Once they got in, they realized the reception side was not set up at all which manager told me over the phone it would be set up. The layout that the manager created for the reception was not updated. Good thing I had a binder with a layout that the first manager we worked with gave me and they went with that. Ceremony was also not set up correctly and we didn’t find out till day of when I had to call to find out that we had too many people for the smaller room so chairs were set up differently due to fire hazard.

As for dinner, we did a buffet style for dinner but for some reason plates were at the guest tables instead of at the buffet table. So all the guest had to carry their plates up with them for food. Food wasn’t being restocked, till guests complained.

We booked for both rooms for the whole day and for some reason the divider was still up. I had to ask my husband why that’s up blocking the entrance and the nice breeze. And he said “they would charge us extra for the other room”. We had to get one of his cousins to remove the divider. Manager never came out once to talk to us!!! Which makes me sad cause during our meeting with her we loved her and were so happy that she took over. But thank god for her fiancé. He was our bartender and I guess he took her place as manager. Even when we had to pay, he was the one who took the payment.

We met at D2 in Hobart because we are in the area for a family reunion. My cousin was waiting for us and then we had a total of 4. When we came in we saw super dirty tables. I knew then we would have bad service but anyway we were here. I approached the bartender because she was standing there doing absolutely nothing. I asked if there was anyone waiting and she scowled like we shouldn't talk to her. I did find my cousin but she was sitting at a table with no menus. We waited while the servers were clearly busy. So I went back to the bartender who had zero customers at the time and asked for menus. Instead of giving us menus she barked to the busy servers to bring us menus. So it did take a while to get things. We ordered 3 bloody Mary's and water. The bloody Mary's are no frill but very good! We ordered nachos with ground beef. They were hot and the toppings were fresh. It had the can type nacho cheese which is not my favorite but they were still good. 3 of us ordered the Friday fish specials. I had the perch sandwich. 2 had the 3 piece fish fry. One person had the pulled pork sandwich. All of the food was good, hot, a big portion and a fair price. I person ordered an additional bloody Mary. While this was going on a table nearby of 4 elderly people asked the bartender, who continued to be in a vegetative state, if their food was coming out. The bartender started huffing about and started barking at the servers. She is such a rude person. We would happily ate at the bar or had drinks there if we would have been invited to. I can understand she was not about to help the servers during this busy lunch because she herself did not have many customers the whole time we were there. Went here to celebrate my college graduation with my two oldest kids. Sat down, waiter came and asked if we were ready. We were unfamiliar with the menu so said we needed a minute. About ten minutes later, he came back, took our order. Our waters were empty, but he didn't notice and didn't bring out more. Another man brought our food out, missing part of the order. This other man got it fixed quickly, but still didn't get us more water. We sat and ate casually. Original waiter never came out to check on us. The restaurant wasn't busy. Tuesday at 4pm - it was dead. We were there for 45 minutes and still no waiter. Sat around with empty plates and empty waters, but we had to go. I left cash on the table. I hope it was enough. I had to estimate based on what we recalled from when we ordered.

A bare minimum of customer service isn't difficult. Take the order. Notice empty drinks and ask about refills. When the food comes out, wait a couple minutes then come check to see if everything is good. When plates are empty, collect them and hand over the bill. Ask how everything was. When most of the tables in the restaurant are empty, you should be able to focus even more on those few.

I am not impressed. For being located in a supposed "luxury" area, this restaurant sucks. Food was okay, but definitely not good enough that the restaurant can rely on that alone to get...

We recently hosted our Pulaski High School Class of 2004 Reunion at D2, and the entire experience exceeded expectations. The venue itself was a beautiful, warm, and open space, the perfect backdrop for reconnecting, sharing laughs, and celebrating our shared history. A huge shoutout to Cassie, our Event Manager, who ensured no detail was left unattended. Her communication leading up to the event was prompt and thoughtful, and her presence on the day-of made everything run smoothly. From setup coordination to final touches, her professionalism and attentiveness made a world of difference. Our attendees were blown away by both the vibe and the service. We even paused to capture a group photo that summed it all up, one amazing night in one incredible space. Highly recommend Cassie and D2 for anyone planning a meaningful gathering. 🙌

Once our food arrived, we realized that the bacon mac & cheese burger was kraft mac & cheese on top and we were charged an additional two dollars on the check for the bacon, even though it was included on the description in the menu for a lower price. Our server did not check on us one single time while we were eating and we had to flag down another server to get the ranch we had asked for when ordering.When he came to our table at the end, our food was already gone and he dropped our check immediately. We will not be back.

This is our second time eating here, some items are decent others are terrible. The prices are also really high and have been going up. The garlic bread and pizza in the pictures were $13 and $18 respectively. The garlic bread description said "mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, garlic herb compound butter". What I got is something a kid would make... Too bad too, great location for us and the building is very nice. Expected much more since they have 4 locations with pretty good reviews but it seems like my experience is not a fluke. We will not be coming back, can't recommend it either
