Scott’s Subs Hobart — Restaurant in Hobart

I've lived in this area all my life for over 30 years, there used to be nothing south of Highway 29 and thus never a reason to cross the highway unless it was to go to Seymour. Now, there is a reason. To see Hobart the way it is now is simply mindblowing.

A while back my mom and I tried the place for subs, and now just tried their take'n'bake pizza. The subs were deceivingly filling, if you cut the sandwich in half the long way, and lay them end to end, you get a subway footlong! Very delicious and as such for a reasonable price, but I want to talk about the pizza.

The pizza was so delicious, and has instantly become my new favorite, the flavor was nostalgic, and if that doesn't make sense, allow me to explain. Years ago, there used to be a bar in Howard, WI, located just off Velp Avenue, across from what now used to be a Burger King, it was called Pizza Pub. The flavor of the pepperoni, the cheese, it was as if it was the exact same recipe as that place! It was so good, it brought a tear to my eye. Good bye literally any other pizza place, hello Scott's Subs!

My only nitpick, and I believe and have faith that this will get better with time the longer the place is there, be patient, they take their time in making your food, so this by no means is a fast food joint. They do have pre-made pizza's in a freezer off to the side by the register, which are just as good as if it was freshly made.

If subs/pizza btw are not what your hankering, they have Cedar Crest ice cream, and scotcheroos! They also have beer!

Utterly surreal, on how much has changed over there, and now I'll have a reason to go over there...

I don't usually write reviews but the subs here are great, definitely the best in the area. In a way they are kind of like the old Hansen's subs but so much better. The biggest surprise was the pizza, it was delicious! The staff is very friendly and the building very clean and inviting. My only complaint is I wish we had one closer to us! It's a great place to bring the family as there are many options...

The food is really tasty but I have to take off a star for the portion sizes, they are tiny for what you pay. I also have to take off a star for the really short hours. I sometimes work late and they close super early (at 7), so I can never make it there in time for dinner. Also closed Sunday and Monday.
