I read alot of reviews for all the thai places in this area. Alot of reviews about this place said the food was amazing but the service was horrible, I chose it anyway cause I am really craving good thai food & how bad could the service be. After all I'm going in expecting bad service. OMG! So we walk in. There is no one to greet us and no sign telling us to wait to be seated. So we went ahead and sat down. The place was empty, maybe 2 other tables. 5 minutes in and no one has even spoken to us. A 6 top came in at this point. The server seated them and took their drink orders. So we asked her if we could maybe get some service and she proceeded to tell us that they don't accept walk ins and we should have waited to be seated!! THERE WAS NO SIGN & NO ONE SEATING!!!! I could not believe how angry and unprofessional that server was. So we asked the only other server if she could help us. She was much nicer but had no idea what she was doing or what was on there menu. She could not answer any of our questions. We put in our order and asked for the Tom kha to come as our appetizer. A good 20 min later we finally got our side salad and asked if the Tom kha was coming. She went back to ask about it and told us they do not serve Tom kha!!! A thai restaurant that doesn't serve Tom kha??? And 20 min after ordering it as an appetizer we find that out. So I told her to just bring the side of rice and peanut sauce now as the appetizer. 10 min later nothing came, 5 min after that our suchi arrived, the tempura spicy crab roll was amazing! We finally got the main entrees along side the rice and peanut sauce after about an hr of waiting!! By this time I'm disgusted with this entire place first we get ignored, then the server is very rude, then we get a server who I'm guessing never served a day of her life, still better than that horrible little server before her!!! All of this and I'm just praying that my pad thai satisfies my craving. I was let down again! They use the wrong noodles and skimp on the chicken in a major way, I even had tofu mixed in it. All and all it was a waste of money and time!!!!!!! All though I would recommend the tempura rolls, easily the best I've ever had. Just call ahead of time so you don't have to wait an hr to eat, and maybe take it to go so that horribly rude server doesnt turn u off this...
Read moreFirst time at this place. We were really looking forward to sushi close to home. We were seated and ordered beverages. We both decided on sushi and shrimp fried rice. The waitress Laura told us there would be a wait if 15-20 min for Sushi as they have one cook working in the kitchen.I agreed to the wait initially but my husband said “that’s gonna be on all sushi right?” Laura replied yes. Then she proceeded to joke “if we really wanted to piss off the cook we could order a Rainbow roll he hates making that one!” We told her we would be a minute as we came to Lemon Grass for sushi. We discussed it and decided to leave. We were turned off by the fact that the cook hated rolling sushi and that translated to us that he probably didn’t care too much about the customer experience or his role in this restaurant. We decided not to find out and paid for our beverages and left to go to Wild Chef! Needless to say we will...
Read moreThe first thing I order at any Thai restaurant is Massaman curry, which at one point was rated as the most delicious food on the planet by CNN, so you should give it a shot if you haven't had it. The Massaman at Lemongrass is pretty good, but my one complaint is that the potatoes are cut too large, so they're a little tough and bland. Otherwise it was a really nice curry. I also enjoyed the lemongrass soup, but I am guessing the long green thing in there is just to flavor the broth and not meant to be eaten? It was like chewing on a corn husk. Well, now I know.
Thai restaurants often aren't much to look at but Lemongrass was pleasant inside and I had good service. The prices are a little higher than I'm used to, so I don't think I'll bring the whole family of five here unless I get that big promotion at work. But I could see meeting a friend here for lunch, if we're doing...
