I'm sad to report that this place has gone seriously downhill. Considering that my parents had their first date here 50+ years ago, and I have been coming here for over 47 years, I am speaking from a very long long history with Jimmy's. When the new owners bought it years ago, I was extremely excited to see a bright new future for this place. Jimmy's always had the absolute best custard around. The recipe is not what it used to be. It tasted marshmallowy, airy, flat, and not like custard at all. I grew up playing in the creek alongside the picnic tables. They have let this become completely overgrown, taking away everything that made this special spot beautiful. Ticks are prevalent in the high grasses now, which makes this a no go for bringing your dogs with you. There was a significant amount of trash on the ground, which also makes for it being a no go for bringing your dog. I know I will get backlash for this review, and that's ok. Not many people remember the original Jimmy's, which we all called "The Cup". Doubtful we will be back, as there are many better ice cream stands in the area. Very...

Slow and expensive after a dozen visits 7 orders were wrong.. no receipts so you're SOL. Reply to your response- - when I asked I was told no receipts or manager is available. NOT "If I was told" YES I WAS told several times, it was always the response, all one can do is walk and make the best of it. Is it worth it?? We last ordered 2 cups of ice cream - SIMPLE? nah! got one cup, and one 'plate' with a short rim, and LESS in it as well....no explanation why. So many seem to return to 'fix the order' -and this delays all. It is supposed to be a small reward, ice cream, or a fast meal outside. A GOOD time. We can put "at the time" to rest as you know it isn't possible to address "every issue" going back 4 yrs? You are operationally poorly conceived from the start. look at the lines and the tiny kitchen, it cant work...

I have been going to Jimmy's since I can remember, and I am 57 years old-LOL:) It has ALWAYS been a GREAT place! I am sorry that they had to take the li'l "bridge" over the creek out though:( My kids always loved that bridge, as did all the other kids around! They have had the BESTEST ice cream for years as well. EVERYthing on their menu is very good! Hot or cold. It hasn't changed much over the years either. Excellent food, fantastic ice cream, and awesome customer service! I just hope and pray they NEVER leave our wonderful community:) When they open in the Spring, it reminds me of softball games, summer fun, and the 1st day of fishing-LOL:) IF you haven't been...GO! I can guarantee you won't be sorry! ENJOY, my friends. We LOVE you Jimmy's!!! Kat J... OH, and play a round of golf while you're there, at the Holey Moley Mini...

Large selection of ice cream with reasonable prices. ONLY ACCEPTS CASH. I did not realize this since it was my first time visiting and I was $2 short. I was just in the midst of giving up my ice cream so I could afford my children’s when a guy in line waiting for his ice cream said he would cover it and handed the clerk $2. What a sweet and kind soul for doing so. When I got my ice cream I looked around to thank him again and he was gone, like an ice cream angel he just disappeared! If you ever read this, thanks again :) Me and the kids sat at a table over by the little creek that runs through the left of the property. Very relaxing. They also have a small mini golf in back.

This place is legendary, it was the first place I ever got ice cream as a little kid 30 years ago. The watermelon sherbet has been my go to since I was young enough to have a memory. I’ve long since moved away from this area but I always make the migration back to have this ice cream. Recently my friend picked up a big tub on her motorcycle and brought it back for us on a random week night, this brought tears to my eyes. I cannot imagine a world where this ice cream spot does not exist. The ice cream made it all the way to NYC on the back of a motorcycle and still tasted fresh days later.

On our way home from NJ, we found the perfect rest stop... Jimmy's! It is an old school style ice cream and more stand. They have all the toppings, soft serve, and hard ice cream. They also have food. There are very sturdy, roomy, concrete tables with umbrellas available where you can enjoy your food. A stream runs by the stand, and they have clean bathrooms. Aside from the view of the stream, there is a farm with a vineyard across the street. We enjoyed our ice cream and our stay! Definitely, check it out!
