China — Restaurant in Holton

If you’ve seen the reviews you’d be inclined to visit but before you do, here’s my thoughts.

First up, the workers all appears to be underage and I mean very underage. It could be. Family owned restaurant but when you don’t see an adult the entire visit, you wonder. They were quiet and didn’t make any recommendations even when asked.

The sesame chicken was pretty fresh. I didn’t think it was the best I’ve had but better than average for sure.

The place is a whole in the wall but was clean.

If you’re looking for a quick fix, this place will take care of it. If you’re looking for the best Chinese in or around Topeka…...

Just like all the little small town restaurants from my childhood. This is one of those “well-kept secrets” that should get out. I just happened to be heading north from Topeka hungry as all get out and wanting something other than chain restaurants burgers. All the food was hot, delicious and on the table within 15 minutes of ordering. Their family dinner ordering options make it very economical to order for two. Nice, little place to eat. Middle of summer and most places are full of flies but not this place. I didn't see one fly anywhere. Maybe it was because there wasn't a lot of people going in and out to let flies in? The General Tao's chicken was really good(Could have been spicier) and my friend enjoyed her meal too.
