My wife and I thought we would stop by this restaurant after visiting the town of Homer from DFW. The food here was fine. Salsa and chips were good, as was the sweet tea. Service however was another story unfortunately. Aside from the couple that followed behind us into the restaurant we were the only patrons. The place was empty. I mention that because we waited for a minute or two and, no one came to seat us. I finally walked to the back where the kitchen was and said hello loudly. Music was playing and finally someone noticed. Nonchalantly our eventual server said "i'll be there in a minute." Another minute passes and my wife says, "Lets just seat ourselves." No problem, we did.
Finally the server came out from the kitchen, grabbed a some menus and gave us ours, she didn't bother with eye contact, didn't bother being friendly or engaging, just went through the motions like it was a chore. Well ok, she at least eventually took our order and I have to admit the food was good. Finally when we are getting ready to leave the server was on a personal phone call with an ear piece on as she was taking our plates. We got up from our table, she rang us up at the register and again barely acknowledges our presence beyond doing the transaction. Then I literally hear her cursing in spanish on the personal call she is still on. Well my goodness. This is hardly that big deal of mind you, however if you run a business like you can take your customers for granted and barely offer even the baseline level of customer service, it's probably not going to help your business over the long run. I don't know that we'll ever come to Homer again. But I can safely guarantee I wouldn't eat at...
Read moreOkay I'm sorry to have to say this but normally I mostly have great experiences with this restaurant but the other night when I went I bought my normal street taco meal ,al pastor and steak. When I got home my al pastor tacos meat were really dry, so I had to pick all of the dry crunchy meat out of the tacos. When I went into the restaurant today and ate as I normally do at the end of my meal I paid then asked the manager could I speak with him and could I show him the pictures of the meat that was really dry when I ordered my plate the other night. I explained to him that maybe because you guys only had 10 minutes before closing your guys mixed some old meat with the new meat when they made my tacos which was not fair. So I asked him could he replace my dinner on a later date not today but suggested that he take my name and replace my dinner, and he told me no maybe I can give you one taco, how much meat did you take out? did you eat the whole thing? like what kind of questions is that and I'm showing you pictures of the meat that clearly shows old meat and new meat mixed together. I was highly disappointed I thought he would just replace my dinner at a later time/day and be done with it because I am a regular. But don't get me wrong they do...
Read moreThe service was horrible. We were over charged for our food. The waiter could barely speak and understand English. He added extra sides and toppings we did not order. He did not try to clarify my order, he just kept saying beans and rice. I told him if it comes with my order, yes. It did not come with what I ordered, so we were charged for a whole meal, instead of my two enchiladas. I was also charged for a meal for one burrito. I asked if I could get a mixed margarita, he said yes. He did not say it would be extra for two flavors. I stayed there about 30 minutes trying to get a refund. I was told they do not give refunds, even if it is their fault. I was rudely dismissed by another male employee while I was trying to explain what happened. I was laughed at and disrespected by the workers. After asking the cashier to write down everything we ordered on a separate paper, she then saw we were over charged. She said she could not refund all our money. She did refund part of it. We were over charged by $21. She...
