The word that best sums up the experience is "ok". The food isn't incredible by any means and we were the only table in the entire restaurant at the peak of dinner time aside from one lone stranger playing what appeared to be Fortnite on a big screen TV set up at a table in the bar but it wasn't bad by any means either. The wedding soup tasted a little fishy and very salty but was still edible and with the chicken parmesan the chicken itself was very well cooked and the breading was good but the sauce was very flavorless and tasted like a cheap jarred sauce. The decor was dated and a little rundown in places but still brought an ok atmosphere to the experience. The service was attentive (perhaps because we were the only ones in the restaurant) and our waitress was very friendly. As for the price, we spent between $20 and $30 each on the four of us at dinner and I can say one thing for sure that this meal was not worth the price they charged. If you're looking for a great small town family owned restaurant with knock your socks off Italian food this is not the place for you but if you're passing through and need a decent sit down meal this place will get...
Read more11/12/2020 Revised review. This restaurant is close to my house. The first review was soon after we moved to the area. Now 1 year later... Tonight will be the last time I eat here. The last 4-5 times I have eaten here it was terrible service and mediocre food. I blamed the pandemic but no more. My husbands soup was cold, he requested the same pasta dish he always gets but the waitress said the chef will not make it with garlic and oil sauce the way he has requested 3-4 times in the past. So ok the waitress said she will make it work. So they charge him for a different dish and charge extra for the broccoli and chicken. So bottom line make the dish the way he request but extra charge to make it 5 dollars more. We are sick of the issues and was just hungry, so we ate and left never ever to return. I can no longer blame the pandemic for the terrible service, cold and average food and price gouging. We will stick with the local Ellwood City restaurants, they are happy for our business, do not over charge and will go out of their way to accommodate every customer. Read moreI’ll never give this restaurant my business again. I ordered shrimp scampi, to go, for myself and my grandmother. As a side, I asked for extra noodles with my entree. I figured after paying $65 for my food, there’s no way they’d mess it up. Foolish on my part. I got home after a 30 minute drive to find nothing but 5 pieces of shrimp and some sauce. I called the restaurant to make them aware of THEIR MISTAKE, to which they told me I could come back and pick up the pasta. It’s a 30 minute drive to the restaurant from my house, so if I elected to pick up the pasta, my shrimp would’ve been stone cold. I asked if they would just remake the entree since they left out the most important damn part of PASTA, and they refused. They told me to go to the store and make my own noodles. Absolutely ridiculous. If this is how you treat all of your customers, I’m in complete shock that you’re still open. I wish this restaurant nothing but bad luck and terrible business. Hopefully you learn a thing or two about customer service, since you’re in the service industry. 0/10, I’d recommend McDonald’s over this...
