Acadiana Jeaux's — Restaurant in Hooks

If you ever find yourself anywhere near Hooks, Texas, stop what you’re doing and head to Acadia Jeaux’s. I had the special of the day — Jalapeño Popper Meatloaf — and let me tell you, this was not your grandma’s Sunday loaf. It was pure, to-die-for gooey goodness stuffed inside a classic, tender meatloaf. Whoever dreamed this up deserves a culinary medal. 🏅

The wait staff was as warm and welcoming as the food, and when they found out I was staying in a hotel, they even hooked me up with extra dinner leftovers. That’s small-town hospitality at its finest.

And then there’s the owner — a friendly character with a great sense of humor who clearly loves what he does. You can feel it in the food, hear it in the laughter, and see it in the way everyone knows his name.

Bottom line: come for the food, stay for the people, leave with a happy belly and a smile...

My son and I left my small bag with my wallet in it, hiking the Eagle Rock Loop in the wilderness of AR. Tony stop and drove us back to the location that I had lost it and the drove us back to our camp site so we could continue our 26.8 mile loop taking more then an hour out of his day to help a stranger. I'm a proud person to be from the south. I have never in my life heard of a deep-fried Burger... But after my coworker and I were invited by our boss to this restaurant, I found out what a Cajun burger was all about and IT WAS AMAZING 😍! These guys know how to make a belt pop! they have some really good bread pudding too! The crispy shell on the burger made an excellent flavor with the onions and pickles🤤.
