Jefferson's — Restaurant in Hoover

Visited tonight with friends. Wings were not near how previous owner got us accustomed to for past five years! The females that were in the group went to the restroom and both toilets were to replace brink of overflowing. We told a staff member about the plumbing issue and she informed management. They got to work immediately on the plumbing issue. After that, one of the guys in the group went to the mens restroom and said as soon as he flushed the toilet, the water rose to the top of the bowl, then preceded to drain from below the base of the toilet. We informed a staff member about that issue with the plumbing. They got to work on it. Our waitress came over to check to see if we needed another round and when we brought up the issue, she told us that we could use the restroom in the back, and pointed beyond the doors (leading to the kitchen). The group had one more a round. One of the females took the waitress up on her offer and was going to use the restroom beyond the kitchen doors (as previously offered by the waitress) and was refused. She was told by the waitress that the manager “Did not feel comfortable allowing her to go beyond the doors, because he was scared that she would slip and fall.” Reasonable. It should have not been offered if that...

I want to love it but there are some issues. Walking in there was no direction of sitting yourself or waiting so we awkwardly walked in, waited, and had a customer help us get someone to seat us. Ordering was kinda a joke. We waited for someone to get our drink order and witnessed another couple get up and leave since no one acknowledged them ever. Finally got drinks and waited to put in our appetizer then finished the appetizer and waited again to order our meal. 30ish+ minutes later we got our food on plastic baskets with cold fries...not even the good ones...they were like the off brand frozen fries ya have to stick in the oven when you don’t have a fryer at home. It was an empty drink wait for refill, wait for ticket, wait for payment, wait, wait, wait. During this visit there may have been 8 other tables (2-4 people) seated total. It made no sense. And they don’t have their liquor license so that was a bummer/wait too. The next day we went to BWW to see if we were just expecting too much and, even on a wait, it was night and day. We did not realize until tonight that Jefferson's was in Hoover. We were glad to find this out. We ordered take out tonight and they did not disappoint. Cumulatively, we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Philly, Chili-Cheese Fries, and Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese was a tad ordinary, but no biggie. Average is just that, right? But the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was excellent with full of flavor and freshly prepared. The Chicken Philly was great. I do prefer the chicken be chopped in smaller bites to blend in to the philly, or be prepared in slices, but other than that, the sandwich was excellent. Very filling and was a large sandwich... enough for me and my boy to split. The service upon picking up our dinner was excellent and very friendly. We have not yet dined in the restaurant, but I fully expect it to be just as outstanding when we get that opportunity. We will definitely be partaking in Jefferson's again and look forward to our next time. If you have the opportunity to eat at this establishment, do not pass it up. Thanks Jefferson's!...
