Hope Cafe — Restaurant in Hope Township

Absolutely appalling that a once phenomenal small town cafe has been run into the ground by city folks that think that they can come in and gentrify our town. Fired all of their employees without reasoning, and are lying about being disrespected. One thing about small towns, you don’t mess with our own; we won’t forget it. Just remember that once Land of Make Believe closes in the fall, that you have to depend on locals to pay your bills. With how you treat your employees, good luck. The food is garbage, and expensive. Don’t bother coming here, drive 10 minutes out of the way and support Bagel Smith or Hayeks, where your business is appreciated, and you’re not a walking...

SO disappointed!! I stopped in Monday and got the weekly special. Turkey sandwich with Brie, green apple and arugula on a ciabatta bun. FANTASTIC!!! I planned my WHOLE WEEK on returning for more of the same. I went back Friday and ordered 2 sandwiches.....SO DISAPPOINTED...not the same sandwich. No Dijon sauce or whatever was on Monday's, no crisp green apples..replaced with thin floppy slices of a red or yellow apple, the arugula was deflated...the turkey seemed old and smelled funky. the two Friday sandwiches seemed pre-made...what had been the best sandwich I have had since returning to NJ was not no reason to...

It’s pretty simple if you haven’t been here … you need to stop in and take a look.. my wife daughter and I had the pleasure of finding this place when we were out that way this past week and it is simply a gem.. I got the pastrami Rueben, my wife got the chipotle chicken sandwich and my daughter got her customary bagel with cream cheese. Everything was absolutely incredible the atmosphere is amazing prices were MORE the reasonable and let’s just say their Fries are incredible… this place is an absolute GEM if you are ever in the area it’s a must stop .. please don’t ever change HOPE CAFE we need...
