What a waste of money. We were some of the first people (30ish) in the restaurant as it opened and not only did they run out of plates, but there were no more in the back!!! 3 separate employees went on a mission to find what didn't exist, because they all came back empty-handed, saying there were no more. How is this even possible, they just opened?! Multiple locations where the plates should be found, but nothing. We stood in line as we watched servers taking in peoples full plates they were done with and waited for them to be washed and brought out 5-6 at a time. Smh. As we were eating, the servers were overly eager to get plates that you may or may not be done with.
I typically like buffets, but this one was complete garbage and not worth $10. Other tables around us a guy was talking about his recent stay in jail and swore he was served some of the same exact food. We tried 3 different plates attempting to find something on the entire buffet we could eat and the only thing somewhat edible were the braised beef ribs. It was a sad, sad excuse for a buffet, let alone a casino buffet.
Save yourself, go to Frank's Grill and Bar just down the road. After trying most of the restaurants in both these casinos while staying a week, we were tired of paying ridiculous prices for absolute garbage and lack luster food that made us sick every night. Lucily, we were turned on to Frank's. Everything we had there was very good. If you like steaks and are there on Tues. night hit up Frank's. They have a sizely, well seasoned and perfectly cooked ribeye with sides for around $26.
Unfortunately, we were looking forward to the buffet and chose it instead of going to Frank's that night. Spent double and left completely disappointed and had churning stomachs all night. It's sad when you can't even get a dessert cookie right. I can assure you the prepared food purchased from their supplier is the absolute lowest quality available. We legitimately served kids at summer camp higher quality food than this and charged them $5 per meal. The adults and kids both were very happy about the meals at camp, too. The food waste has got to be outrageous. The first sign a manager should catch on to is the full plates returning to the kitchen and dumped into the garbage is very telling.
Save your money, fill your belly elsewhere. This buffet need a new manager and a menu revamp, especially for what they charge you.
Oh yeah, we watched as they tried to put a man in a wheelchair into a corner table that backed into the side of an accompanied table. There was absolutely no way for him to squeeze in there. They moved themselves to the adjacent table and the server had mummbled a derogatory remark after he rudely asked them what they were doing, then proceeded to turn around and walk away with a disgusted look...
Read moreThis doesn’t even deserve a one star. I don’t ever make these reviews.. We went yesterday for the first time after about 4-5 years. Very very disappointed. It was $76.98 for just my husband and I. I thought there would be a variety of food and seafood… The food was very bland and either no seasoning or over seasoned. The crawfish boil was nowhere near it tasting like it was Cajun… that’s fine.. The rice wasn’t even cooked all the way. The dressing over seasoned, the chicken overcooked and dry. I grabbed some catfish and of course it was dry/over cooked. I have eaten better catfish from gas stations, delicious compared to this… I am NOT a picky person when it comes to food at all and this was just terrible. I had one plate and just touched the food. Same thing with my husband.. The only decent thing was the salad… There were only two options for fruit.. Last time we went the alcoholic drinks were included.. Not anymore. Fine, but for the price they maybe should be, if the food tastes the way it does. The price has gone up, only fountain drinks are included and the food tastes worse than something you’d get at a gas station. Do yourself a favor and eat before you get to Goldstrike or anywhere else. Over priced for something that should have MAYBE cost $15 per person. And that’s a...
Read moreWe gave a 20% tip when paying($18.00) got seated, went and got our drinks then got salad with a plate of warm food. I noticed all the servers were just walking past our table, I stood up and still no one asked if I needed anything. We didn't have silverware or napkins. I went up asked the lady(hostess) who sat us for our waiter. Another 5 minutes goes by. Still no waiter or silverware. In the mean time, every waiter has walked past our table at least 3 times. I start to walk to the cashier to ask for our tip to be refunded. My husband asks what I'm doing. I very loudly said we still haven't received any service from a waiter. And my warm food is now cold( luke warm) The hostess came back to inform me she would get some one right away.. Another 2-3 minutes of them discussing who's table it was. A waiter finally came over with silverware- took our paper for the crab legs. Came back and grabbed the receipt with the tip on it... Wasn't slow about getting that!!! No on ever came over to say sorry about the confusion! I will never be leaving a tip before service again... And it will be a long time before I...
