Thought it would be a special experience to take my girlfriend to the Chicago Steak House on Valentine's Day, man was I wrong. I spent $280 which would have been fine if the experience was special but it was a disaster. Let's start with the waiter. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio, he brings the wine to the table starts to pour and I see he is pouring a red wine, I said that's not Pino, he says yes sir it is so I said let me see the bottle, finally he actually reads the label and saw that he was wrong so I waited a lengthy time for him to bring the correct wine. Next was the bread after we ate ours he stated he was going to get us more, he never did. We had to ask for water several times and finally had a server for another table get us some. We had to ask for A1 steak sauce twice from our server. We also noticed that other servers were lighting the candle on their tables, however, ours did not light ours nor did he light the one on the table beside ours that he was taking care of. Now to the food. I ordered steamed lobster and steak. I ordered the steak med rare, what I received was very rare on the inside and charred badly on the outside. I wasn't going to send it back to get the inside cooked right because I didn't want the outside blackened even more. My steamed lobster was not even warm but cold instead. My girlfriend ordered steak and crab legs. She said her steak was very good but she was unhappy that parts of the crab legs were hot and parts were cold. This was certainly not worth the $280 I paid. The waiter should be serving in the buffet not their high class restaurant and there needs to be more detail given to the quality of the food they are...
Read moreWhere do we begin?? Let’s start with the good: ordered the filet 6oz but looked more like a 3-4oz, everything is alacarte so unless you plan on having a snack before you go-don’t count on walking away full unless you’ve got a hefty pocket book. We ordered the filet, lobster Mac, water and bread for three people and it was 180. Now most people dine in on comps from the casino so it’s worth it on that account but if I were paying for this top-shelf, 100$ a plate meal which could easily be there-I would have been disappointed. More so with the service. Steak was tender but rarer than I asked for and suggestion for more seasoning. There seemed to be no flavor! The lobster Mac was good but cold. And the water was water… as I wasn’t about to add another 10$ debt just to order a side of green beans! And the bad continues,…had a reservation and go up to the podium-am not greeted, or acknowledged as it seemed personal business from several were being tended too. Then we were seated and it took what seemed like a while for our waitress to greet us. No specials or recommendations were made and we were left to sit there for nearly 15 minutes before she ever returned. Mind you she kept going in the back and was never out for us to see. We finally got bread and placed our order. No refills on drinks until much later after we sat empty for a while. No check-in on how the food was or anything! Now, it is my experience from dining in several expensive restaurants that this kind of “service” should be unacceptable when paying so much for a meal. I would hope they might consider a better service training program or they may not be serving steaks very much longer esp at...
Read moreThey had to of switched owners since I’ve eaten there 2 years ago . This was THE worst experience all around I’ve ever had at any upscale restaurant . Let’s start with the service. We were extremely rushed and asked what we wanted to eat before he even mentioned drinks and kept coming back every 5 mins to ask and the restaurant was not busy at all btw which not a big deal but aggravating but let’s talk about the food lol wow …. So I got the porterhouse medium rare and my father got lamb chops on Granny Smith apple mix sauce which sounded different . We got the food and I got this thin well done steak that was like shoe leather with a potato that wasn’t even soft inside … My fathers lamb chops which he said was good meat but nothing like what the menus description said and was topped with blue cheese sauce instead that he said ruined it. When the waiter dropped it off he immediately just ran off and never came back until we literally got done eating I should of just walked up and asked for a manager to take this stuff back since it was expensive but I didn’t . He finally came back and I asked what did you put down for how my steak is supposed to be cooked and he said medium rare . I said well it was very well done damn near burnt to be honest … and no expression no nothing we are like whatever . But I’ve had better steaks at Applebees. I’ve been to this restaurant several times and it USED to be amazing but I wouldn’t spend 20 bucks for the meal we had there last week it’s a shame . Another good restaurant...
