Mr Gatti's Pizza — Restaurant in Horseshoe Bay

We had stopped here back in 2016, and I remember it being better. The place was packed when we arrived, but it was also Memorial day weekend. We sat in the back in the arcade, and the AC wasn't working very well. Was set for 77 and couldn't get colder than 79. The food was not good. The crust they are using doesn't taste like Mr Gatti's crust, it tastes like a generic parbake crust that they have been buying from Sysco or Ben E Keith or something. It was not good. The positive is the salad bar, it has a lot of choices and they were keeping it looking pretty fresh. My attitude went south when I asked for a small plastic cup to get a little marinara sauce from the buffet, and was told they would have to charge me for the cup. You can tell when a restaurant is poorly managed when they want to nickel and dime the customers for little things like that. I included a pic of my plate of marinara that I was encouraged to use to avoid a charge. I'm pretty sure the cost of wasted marinara out weighs the cost of the cup.... Then I heard the manager in the back yelling at an employee. I couldn't make out everything that was being said. This place needs an overhaul from management down. Some of the employees were pleasant, but most of them looked like they didn't want...

This was a nice New place super clean. The selection of game's is ok it suits the small children who visit but the middle and up well hopefully you like playing on the little tyke's games! The buffet was fresh and hot it was slammed busy and the employees kept up with the needs of the dinner rush! Great job ladies and gentlemen. Now for the negatives in this praise: We attended a birthday party for a family member there was no reservations available NONE ! This was a party of about 30 now this place has a party room that a large party can't reserve ! WOW !! Next this large party had to pay full price for each person who attended! There was a "NO" when asked if there was a set rate or discount for such a party! So this establishment from Owner down who deem it necessary to charge this family upwards 400 dollars to have a party for there 2 year old NO DISCOUNT! Speechless for how this owner has nothing else but profit and greed not even 5 bucks for the little ones who played games ! Nope the parents had to spend even more for game cards ! NO PARTY PACKAGE! To all of Kingsland support a better establishment who supports local struggling families with a flat rate at least! 711 is cheaper and better with...

Gatti's is my families favorite pizza. I love the pizza from here and drive almost an hour one way just to eat here and buy more to take home to eat through the next week or two.

That being said the lack of employees hurts operating hours and efficiency every time I have gone this year (2022)

The buffet at lunch rarely has pepperoni and it is snatched up quickly which tends to make it relatively unworth eating here with my kids.

I can tell the owner is really trying to provide a good service for his local community but running a popular establishment is increasingly difficult.

I left 5 stars because the food quality remains good and the actual effort in everything...
