Ok, I don’t give reviews much but felt compelled to say a few words about Louie’s Place in Hot Springs, Montana. Started off with an Octoberfest German imported draft beer which was superb and continued with a sauerkraut smoked sausage sandwich. That might sound mundane, but it wasn’t. It was really tasty and the sides of German mashed potatoes with a spicy queso dip were a nice touch. Hot Springs isn’t for everybody. It’s quaint, maybe a little retro, so if you’re looking for a ritzy tourist resort you won’t find it here. What you will find is a town with a midsummer Pioneer rendezvous and rodeo as well as great mineral water at the Symes Hot Springs Resort nearby. Louie’s adds a lot to the ambiance. Louie's can get busy and the wait staff can have their hands pretty full, at times. I know the staff and the owners and they are all upbeat and want satisfied customers.
