Golden Donuts & Breakfast — Restaurant in Houma

We like the donuts. Softer than Ronnie's, and They don't mangle them when they box them.

We like the croissants. I always get a bacon egg and cheese. I started stopping here instead of Burger King. It's like a dollar cheaper, it's larger, there's more inside, and it doesn't look like someone chewed it up and spat it into the wrapper.

The biscuits need some work though, in my opinion. I don't know what these are, but they're not any biscuits I'm aware of. I've never seen a biscuit with a texture like this, and they don't really have the nice buttery flavor.

Kolaches are pretty good. Nothing outstanding. But good.

Service is always good. I stop by on the way home from work in the morning, and they're pretty on the ball. Occasionally the place is swamped and They really do their best to try and keep things moving at a reasonable pace.

Hands down, these are the best donuts you will ever eat. Not only are they visually appealing by their perfectly shaped and glazed appearance, but they literally melt in your mouth.
