Wow, if you want to experience a real world example of Mr Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants, stop by this location. As a nearby resident, I have frequented this location many times over the years because I genuinely like the chicken at Church's.
The longtime manager is the source of the problem, as many other reviewers have noted. She is rude, condescending, combative, and will interrupt and talk over you as you try to order or inform them they made a mistake with your order.
Today I stopped by for a quick dine in lunch with my son. After paying $20 for a 3 piece chicken tender meal, chicken sandwich meal, and 3 jalapeño bombers, I then got to pay an EXTRA .75 cents for 3 additional honey mustard packets.
As I sat down at the table, I noticed the self-service drink station in the dining area was shut down, and our drinks had been given to us by the worker behind the counter. When I opened my box of tenders, I was greeted by 3 tenders no bigger than the size of my pinkie finger. I have had many Church's chicken tenders and know what size they normally are. It looked like the manager took one tender and cut it into three slices to make a "3 piece" meal. During the meal, I was forced to go ask for a drink refill at the counter. I was informed by the manager this would be my only free refill, and if I wanted an additional refill I would be charged for another drink. Funny, I thought it was 2022, not 1985.
One other odd thing I've noticed over the years of reluctantly patronizing this location is the manager does not cook ANY chicken unless somebody comes in to order it. The shelves behind the counter that hold the trays of chicken are almost always empty, and the entire kitchen looks as if it is never used. In fact, if you show up within 30 minutes of closing, you will notice the kitchen has already been cleaned for the evening, and she will attempt to give you the old chicken that wasn't sold rather than cook what you ordered.
I've been in business for almost 25 years, and while I greatly understand the need to maintain a sustainable profit margin in your operation, denying your patrons the food and services that would be present at any other Church's franchise just makes you look stingy and greedy.
After today, this will be my last visit here. I would recommend that everyone skip this Church's location and avoid the hassle and aggravation.
If anyone from Church's Corporate reads or pays attention to these reviews, it would definitely be worth your time to give this location a...
Read moreOk, Iâm a little suspicious of this particular Churchâs Chicken franchise location at 10658 Monroe Rd. Houston, Tx 77075. Even though, my food a piece of chicken was fresh and hot. However, despite the other past terrible reviews about their food that I just read about this location. Going forward, let me just say, I have not experienced any problems with any of the other Churchâs Chicken franchise locations that I have visited on a regular basis. However, this is my last time at this particular location. Due to the fact, there was a hand written note posted through their drive thru that states in large print, We Have the Right to Deny Service to Anyone. Ok, so now Iâm thinking allegedly for what reasons and why??? Alright, last time I understood my Civil Rights and checked the laws in the State of Texas, as well as the United States in this 21st Century. Explains that there shall be no discrimination of any type in any public business thatâs regulated by the Government and has a License to serve the public. Furthermore, the Texas Attorney General and Better Business office need to be contacted and have this Franchise business reported and investigated for any type of misconduct, discrimination and racism of any Civil Rights violation. Also, I was told very rudely through the Churchâs Chicken drive thru by an employee, this young man that said they do not honor and accept those surveys at this location. And, nor do they a have a way to enter the code on their machine for the Church's chicken listens survey website that offers a free piece of chicken with that code number from their website on your next visit. Now I see, as well, that they have a misleading advertisement with their business receipts on the back that is given out to public, asking you to fill out their survey. After making a purchase and doing business with their establishment. Well, something is strange and just not quite right about this particular Churchâs Chicken franchise...
Read moreI WISH YOU COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS!!!! The only reason there's a star on here at all is because you have to put something up there in order to post your review. NEVER GO TO THIS CHIRCH'S!!! I went in and placed a very simple order for three people and was missing a biscuit out of one meal, a mashed potato and gravy out of another meal and an apple pie. I noticed this as soon as I got to the car and took the whole bag back in the store with me and told the lady at the counter what I was missing. She proceeded to argue with me and tell me that they had put those items in my bag. I assured her that I never received them and that I just wanted to get what I had paid for. The manager came to the counter and was very rude and told me that I needed to go back and check with my kids and see if they took any of that stuff out of the bag because they put it in there. They continue to make me feel like I was trying to get over on them for a biscuit some mashed potatoes and an apple pie. The manager finally told the lady at the counter to get the items that I was missing and then told me that I need to check my food the next time before I leave the store. I've been in the restaurant industry before and I know that it is the manager's job to make sure that all out going orders are correct. So instead of apologizing for the mistake they had made and making it right, the manager told me that I basically need to do her job for her the next time I'm in their store. I will never go back there and you...
