My experience at this food truck was astronomical. The workers treated my with utmost kindness, and their agility is unmatched. When I experienced difficulties picking the most suitable choice for my taste, the workers kindly described the flavors of each dish and gave helpful recommendations. The food is cooked to order extremely fast, and yet the quality remains consistently perfect. A personal favorite of mine is the quesabirria. The worker assisted me in choosing this dish, and it was absolutely amazing. Many other food trucks I went to serve inconsistent birria, however the quesabirria served by Taqueria El Barbon is consistently amazing each visit. Another dish that I enjoy is the Torta. The Torta is delicious, with perfectly toasted bread and meat with seasoning that pleasantly greeted my taste buds. Two salsas are provided on the side which offer different spice levels, and they are absolutely amazing. The workers also supply me with an abundance of napkins when I order, which is pleasant. Each time I go to this food truck I leave immensely satisfied. There is not a single complaint I have about this food truck. To anyone nearby, and even anyone far away, I recommend stopping at Checkpoint #6 and taking a look at Taqueria El Barbon, I doubt you will be...

I've ordered here multiple times & I've posted positive reviews about this place before as well. As of today, there have been at LEAST 4 times, not including today that this taco truck has messed up my order or provided sad service. I've attempted to give them another shot more than a few times but once again today my order of al pastor tacos was incorrect. The last time I was there I went back after being OVERCHARGED $7. The lady never explained why nor apologized. Today, after having to leave my kids home alone because i want them to eat their food warm, i headed back for a refund of my food. I've had enough. The young guy with a toothpick in his mouth argued w/the other guy about who took my order, then looked at me w/a look as though it was my fault! He basically threw $17 back at me w/NO APOLOGY. Since this has happened multiple times @ this point I just wanted my $17.32 back for a Taco plate & beans. I have tried to support small business w/them, but just tired of it. This place is the most expensive in the area & for him to NOT even apologize was horrible. I won't ever be returning to El Barbon. Provide your business w/employees whom are sympathetic & care for the inconvenience your...

So my wife and I ,were looking for a place to order food since she dint want to cook after a long day of work. She wanted wings from wingstop and I wanted some Mexican food, we came across TACOS EL BARBON and we notice it had alot of good reviews, so I convinced her to get food from there,I was really excited cause the food in the menu look delicious, we ended up ordering 2 ORDERS of BIRRIA TACOS, 1 ORDER OF TACOS DE PASTOR AND 1 ORDER OF TACOS DE BISTEC, I felt it was a little pricey but I say what the heck ,I am the person that never leave reviews , but this time I felt like I had to, I am a 100% Mexican born ,and I know what really good Mexican food taste like and this wasn't it, I gave it 2 stars because the presentation is really nice, the way it came, with all the sides, but besides that the food was terrible, the meat in all the orders were salty as hell,as soon as I took the first bite I felt the saltiness in the meat ,I try every item in our orders ,diferent kinda ways to see if it was just my order, but unfortunately it was all the meats, my kids were only able to eat half of one BIRRIA TACO, I had to eat all my tacos cause the order was pricey for me to...

Tried a new spot, passed it by so many times and it was just time to give it ago. The pastor is definitely the way to go here. However the fajita beef lacked flavor. There was also consistency issues between other items like the queso taco and gordita. The menu names are hard to place an order for, especially for those that don’t speak Spanish. When the employees mess up your order because they don’t know their own stuff, it shows. The extra price tag on tacos shows on the ingredients and delivery. Avocado, queso fresco, cilantro, onions, etc. For those that can’t decide on what to get. Ask for the taco sampler. It doesn’t come with one chicken taco, so just ask for it. This way you can try one of each of their combinations. With everything, it can be a hit or miss but was definitely enjoyed. Expect to pay on average 10-12 bucks per order here. There are some cheaper options, but not for those that are hungry. Service is fast. Think it’s worth a try. But for what you get we will stick to our go to taco truck Alazan a street over. Priced better and consistent. Until next time.

This place is undoubtedly one of the best places to eat northern Mexico street food. I ordered the De todo un poco platter, which includes a Taco Nuevo León, a taco Tamaulipas and a mixed quesadilla. The food had so much flavor! Seasoned perfectly! So tasty and each bite was mouthwatering! Let’s take a moment to give credit to their Salsa’s!! They provided a red and green salsa. They were absolute bomb!! Spicy and perfect! The service was wonderful, the gentleman taking the order was nice and prompt in taking our order. The food was fresh and out in a mater of minutes. I will be returning every single time I make my way to the Hobby Area and maybe a few times just because! I highly recommend them!

After a long day at work, my son and I decided to try this food truck. I pass it up quite often. I'm surely glad we decided to stop by. Easy to order, took them only 10mins to prepare. The food was great, I loved how they put it on the foam tray and wrapped it in plastic wrap, versus the regular to go box where your food turns soggy quick. I had to pull over to properly put the sautéed onions on the street taco and the fixings on my birria tacos. Let me tell you they were 95% better than the ones we have on the nw side hands down. I'll be returning real soon.
