El Riograndense — Restaurant in Houston

This was our first time eating here. We drove an hour just to go try this place. My husband wanted gorditas like back home and this place hit the spot. We only came for the gorditas so that's all we ordered. We had the chicharron, asado verde, revoltillo rojo, Bistec and rajas con queso. They give you an option to stuff/fill with rice, beans and/or cheese on some. They were ALL amazing. The size of the gordita was pretty big and they are very generous with the stuffing/filling. For the size i think they are worth the price of $6 each. They each come with a small handful side of lettuce and avocado/tomato slice. They have red and green salsa at the table and both salsas had a nice touch of spice and flavor. I really wanted to try the aguas frescas but due to my small stomach I can't eat/drink too much or else I would have loved to try the agua de horchata. Next time I will. I been to this restaurant before I have nerve gotten charged extra dollar for fajita. The burrito comes with a meat off choice and same for the 2 fajita tacos I got charger 2 dollars extra.
