I was disappointed with the level of professionalism at this establishment. On Sunday, I ordered a griot plate, which includes rice and plantains. When I got home, I realized the rice was missing. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with the person at the register, who asked, "What would you like to do?" I explained that I still wanted my rice and would arrange for an Uber courier to pick it up.
When the driver arrived, I called the restaurant to notify them. However, the employee at the register later told me the driver was not there. I checked the app and saw that the driver had parked on the side of the restaurant. When I relayed this information, the employee responded that he couldn’t walk to the side because he had customers inside.
Am I not also a customer? Was it my fault that my order was incomplete? That response was incredibly distasteful, especially considering I had to pay for the Uber courier myself. After expressing my frustration, he finally decided to walk around the corner and hand off my food.
By the time I received my complete order, the plantains and griot were cold and hard, which significantly diminished the quality of the meal. While the food itself was decent, this experience left me regretting my initial tip. I hope the restaurant takes better care in handling orders and treating all customers...
Read moreThe bouyon was disappointing.. The bouyon that was served on 02/05/22 was mad salty, on top of that the 2 little pieces of meat they put in their was burnt. So it wasn’t only salty but I could also tasted the burnt taste.. very disappointed 😞.. Tasso kabrit was ok but was lack in salt.. it could use some more salt and spices but it was definitely Edible.. Lastly the Patties could use a little bit more fillings.. in addition to just the eggs and hotdogs, ya can add onions, peppers, tomatoes, pikliz etc.. One thing for sure, I loved the way they packaged the food.. I managed not to spilled anything and it’s because they packaged it all well. Oh one more thing, I would recommend ya use regular jasmine rice or Madan gougouse. I don’t recall the name for the type of rice ya used but the regular typical Haitian rice would most definitely be more satisfying.. I do look forward to eating there again and do hope I have...
Read moreI visited this restaurant yesterday based off a recommendation from a new Haitian friend I met just a few days prior. And BAAABYYY this Haitian restaurant did not disappoint!!! We had the taso kabrit, griot, black rice, and fried plantains!!! The taso, griot, and the plantains were finger lickin' good. The black rice was good but got nothing on that good home cooking my mom used to throw down! The service was good. Emmanuel was nice, took our order right away and the food didn't take too long (15-20mins). The price was somewhat reasonable. The food was a good portion. I wish I took photos but that food had no chance! We definitely will be back for more!!! So happy we took the 45min drive to check it out because it's so hard to find good Carribean/Haitian food in Houston. Definitely a must try if you have...
