Y'ALL.. these are the most authentic, legit tamales I've had since moving to Texas from Chicago 2 and 1/2 years ago. they are BIG, not too greasy and the carne to masa ratio is perfect. although I prefer my tamales a little spicier due to my upbringing, these are perfectly spicy enough to make your nose run a little tiny bit without sacrificing any flavor. perfect for any beginner tamale eaters out there. they only make chile rojo for their tamales, with chicken and pork offerings BUT you won't even care that there isn't chile verde after trying these. the champurrado is what nostalgiais made of, taking me back to cold winter days in Chicago, waiting for the bus to get to school. it is perfectly sweet and thick, just like your abuelita usted to make. I'm definitely in love with this place, I can't wait to try out the rest of their menu, ESPECIALLY the mole. if the tamales and champurrado are any indicator, they're going to knock that out of the park as well. I noticed upon my visits that they do offer karaokethat they do offer karaoke on the weekends, that sounds fun!

Worse mexican food in Houston. So over price for the food received and poor customer service. I got the caldo de res. I was unable to find the meat on it. The price online are not the same. I would not mind to pay extra for good and tasty food... but man, the rude cashier was just the first red flag. The tacos were ok. But the caldo was like they put a can of vegetables in beef soup and they forgot to add the meat. I will give them 0 stars

Went here for brunch, shrimp salad was good. A little bit salty to me but overall, the salad was beyond than my expectation. The service was friendly and family vibe, very attentive and supportive; everyone helped me double-check my food restriction. Omelette breakfast was okay, I am not a fan. Maybe will come back to check other dishes if I am around that area again.

May 11 2018 we came back and I had to review my review!!! I had given this place 5 stars on my first visit 6 months ago, however this time around I had to give them 3 stars. The food is always Great. The service however was terrible, Arlet the server must have had a bad day !!! 2a. It began with a simple request for a lime for my Dos XX that never made it to my table . 2b. She was behind the counter and sneezed while covering her mouth with her hand and never bothered to wash her hands. 2c. She never came back to ask if I wanted another beer so I had to wash down my food with my sons drink. Over all an unpleasant visit.

BEWARE this is not Tex- Mex restaurant! This is traditional south central Mexico food from Puebla. The flavor will be extremely satisfying and totally different from what you've come to expect. Just like an abuelita ( grandmother) cooking with love. The " Mole Poblano " is the real deal ! This doesn't come from a jar ! Atole de granillo, a traditional hot beverage enjoyed in cold mornings or evenings is...

I have only eaten here once. I called in an order, the lady answering the phone was helpful, patient, and nice.i ordered 3 chicken tacos. The tacos were fresh, and cooked to order. The only recommendation would be to season the meat a bit more especially since it's an authentic restaurant. In addition I had to ask the lady at the counter do they wear gloves because I did not see one cook wearing gloves while handling the meat and I saw him.wipe his hands on his apron. I told her I was not trying to be funny I am just really adamant about food and how it is prepared. She explained to me that they do wear gloves but they don't when they are handling the same class of.meat at that time such as beef to prevent cross contamination(I saw this before the meat was placed on the grill ) so either way I guess germs would have been killed during the cooking process. I will return to check out other...
