McDonald's — Restaurant in Houston

I hate to leave this type of review because the service and the people working there were wonderful.l,. Especially considering how late it was at night and the fact that I know they're not getting paid what they deserve. 10/10 on staff and everything is order correct — excluding the manager because I know 100% of these issues that I experienced was because of their lackluster approach to their employment. Let me guess they're making $64k a year...? Give that to the window people instead and also make them the manager and you will see a turnaround for the positive in your revenue like never before.

First off I want you to know that this is the manager who is the one who instructs whether to throw out food or keep it on the line; NOT THE EMPLOYEES. So this has nothing to do with the employees and everything to do with the managerial staff at night (I actually worked in fast food myself so that's why I understand the process).

I know I'm the one who made the mistake by going there late at night but oh my God the burger was so gross, and while the french fries were fresh when I ordered a large they only filled it halfway up. Again that is another managerial "we must save on waste to cut down on overhead because of corporate" bs.

You can tell that the burger was way past the "throw me away for the love of God" stage (like I'm talking an hour or more past. And what the BEEP was going on with the crispy edges?). Oh, and it was a quarter pounder. Corporate or the owner of this store must have decided to include the box in the "quarter pounder" aspect of said burger, because the size of that thing was like a dollar cheeseburger from 2001.

If corporate or the owner is reading this I need you to know the basic staff did phenomenal. It's not their fault that the manager only told them to drop a small amount of fries, and to keep that crusty crispy meat patty way past its expiration date. 10/10 on the politeness of the staff.

I did not meet the manager, and even though I saw the burger as we were pulling around and I could have gone back and complained, I was exhausted after working 13 hours and I just ate it in literally five bites (I'm not joking what I'm saying how small that burger is, including the bun) & went home. I am very dissatisfied with my order. From previous bad quality food, I specifically asked for fresh food please at the order window. They confirmed my order as well as being cooked. I pull up to pay window, confirmed my order, cashier reassured it will be fresh. Get to the food window, I was handed my bag of food. I had a 10 piece nugget meal, and a hot n spicy with cheese, no mayo. I checked my order, the chicken was not hot at all. I even put the chicken patti on my face to show it's not even hot. Less than one minute after returning the chicken sandwich, the guy hands me the chicken sandwich. I open it, it's the SAME chicken sandwich. I requested for a manager. The assistant manager I think, he was nice, but his reply was he thought they made it fresh. So I waited an additional 10 minutes while the rest of my order is cold now. Drive home with my chicken sandwich ready to did in. Only to find out I specifically said NO MAYO! THIS SANDWICH HAS EXTRA MAYO. I am part of management at a 2 billion dollar company. My job is to reflect. This was a total disappointment. I pass the McDonald's just to come to this location Cullen n 610 for better quality food. I believe in giving totally honest reviews I must admit the service here is great however it is totally packed in most mornings that I arrive there when it every time I go to Houston is directly across the street from the Greyhound bus station the place is emanated with homeless people Beggars and people that's just hanging around sometimes it make you afraid to even walk through the door so be very careful it's bad when McDonald's actually have to have an armed guard inside the store but this particular McDonald's do but how we ever had it not been for an armed guard I probably would never walk through those doors also if you purchase a cup of coffee they give you 30 minutes to sit there and drink it and then you got to go unless of course you're eating breakfast and stuff like that there's a 30-minute limit on people sitting there that's because of all of the people they have hanging out on the lot and also in the place begging bombing and trying to get money can you be very careful watch your watch your belongings and watch your money because they are there to get you be mindful keep your eyes open and don't forget to...
