In town for a funeral and knew we needed bbq for lunch. We found the reviews for this place and had to try it. Thankfully they weren’t out of anything when we got there and among three of us, we tried brisket, ribs, and chicken, the potato salad, slaw, and fruit, and of course the moon pies. Everything was absolutely delicious! The meat was all tender and juicy, the slaw was crisp and refreshing, and rhe potato salad was a delicious twist on a classic. And the moon pies were out of this world! Obi took our orders and served us and came out to chat about our visit and the food. It added to our delightful lunch experience and we were all so happy that we chose this for lunch! We’re hoping to make it back a second time before heading back home. I didn’t get any pics because I was busy enjoying everything. Sorry not sorry! Update: we managed to go back on our way to the airport and I actually managed to snap a pic! It includes moon pies, the fruit salad, slaw, a sample of burnt ends (I think? It was delicious!), and then brisket and a chicken thigh for the main meats. The bbq sauce is maybe the best of this type I’ve ever had. So awesome and tasty!!

Wanted to eat barbeque and my wife (my food radar) found this place. It is a food truck at the MOTU convenience store parking lot (missed it driving by the first time, as I often do, oops). Got 2-meat plate with brisket (picked fatty meat) and jalapeno cheese sausage, and mac-n-cheese and potato salad as sides. Asked for a knife and the staffer said I wouldn't need one since the meat is so tender, and he was right! The meat was excellent. They have a unique take on side items. Potato salad with a Thai curry kind of flavor to it and it was good. My wife had been talking about gnocchi lately and they had that as a special take on mac-n-cheese and we liked it very much. If we come this way we will try it again.

This new bbq spot is right outside our neighborhood - and I am so glad to have them nearby! Classic bbq smoked meats and tasty, creative sides. So far we’ve enjoyed the brisket, pork belly, and two of the “Sando Sunday” specials - the Piñata (brisket on a concha!) and the barbecue pork belly Banh Mi. We have also enjoyed the “Impasta” mac and cheese, and the watermelon salad. Everything has been delicious! Nice sized portions that will fill you up. The owners are friendly and obviously passionate about what they do. If you are driving down Hwy 3 and notice the colorful trailer outside Motu gas station, be sure to stop and see what’s on the menu.

Update:While I miss the turkey and hope it is back soon, I thought I'd update my review as I tried the chicken thighs today and they were absolutely heavenly! Great job Ben & co!! Hands down the best BBQ in our area

Service is the bomb! Super friendly and very helpful!! Tried several items on the menu today and have to say that their chicken is delicious and the turkey breast is the best I've ever had anywhere hands down; it's actually moist and flavorful!! The brisket I would say is the best in the Clear Lake / Webster area, but to be honest I don't care for any of the brisket at any of the locations anywhere around us. LOL My favorite brisket spot in Texas used to be Nathan's in Brenham until Nathan sold it and whoever took it over doesn't use his same cooking method because it is nowhere near as good as it was. My favorite brisket now is at Pablo's barbecue in Lufkin as he now has what Nathan's used to , which is brisket that is so good you don't need any sauce the flavor is that awesome! Tried all of their Space Craft sides and was excited to see some healthier takes on your typical barbecue sides . Everything sounded so interesting we wanted to try them all. LOL The Thai Fighter potato salad and watermelon salad are my favorites. Would like to see maybe another sauce option so that you have at least a couple of things to pick from. Personally I'm fond of Carolina style, or mustard-based sauces and spicy sauces with just a hint of sweet. Highly recommend everyone give this place a try. Thank you for a lovely first experience.

visit update: Tried the pork ribs today--very tasty, best around here. Turkey has been AWESOME every time!!

Update, the Travis Barker chicken drumstick...

We rolled up and smelled a delicious smoky smell which had us dying to try the food!

I ordered the 2 Meat Plate with Ribs & Brisket, Mac-n-cheese & baked beans. I usually would never order baked beans but for some reason I was craving it. The ribs were smoky and the meat fell right off the bone. It came with two ribs. I asked for the fattier part of the brisket & they delivered! It was moist/juicy and had a great crust around it. It tasted nice and smoky, & you could taste a sweet sugar flavor in the crust. The Mac n cheese surprised me since I wasn’t expecting a gnocchi style noodle but it was addicting to eat. I enjoyed it. The baked beans (which I have never ordered anywhere before) was delicious with whatever seasonings that were in it. Nice and peppery seasoned flavor.

My partner ordered the TX Banh Mi. The pork belly was cooked to perfection with a delicious flavor. The toppings on the banh mi (jalapeños, Fresca slaw) were super fresh and had a nice crunch to it, and the slaw had a sweet pickled flavor. Everything paired perfectly together and he will definitely order it again, as he loved it. One thing he mentioned that would take this sandwich to the next level is to locally source fresh bread from a bakery nearby.

We loved our entire experience, as the owner was very warm and welcoming, and the food was top tier. Also, we indulged too quickly to remember to...

Alright, so I rolled into this place thinking a perfect 5-star rating had to be a scam—probably all their cousins and pets leaving reviews. But dang, they totally earned it.

The brisket? Oh boy, it's like they found the sweet spot between not too acidic and not too sweet and not like some other really expensive smoke houses up in dallas that give you a flavor profile of wood ash crust. None of that Texas-sized hype, just straightforward deliciousness on a bun. Simple, yet complex in flavor—like solving a Rubik's cube made of meat.

Then there's the pork belly basket: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in this caramel glaze that makes you want to propose to it. Seriously, it's that good.

Now, the Thai Fighter potato salad—what a name! It's like a flavor explosion, with every bite hitting you like a Stormtrooper getting blasted by a rebel flavor cannon. Just a heads-up though: there are peanuts in there, so watch out if you're allergic. They're not trying to take anyone out, just add some crunch.

Overall, it's a tiny joint, but that's how you know they're the real deal. None of that mass-produced stuff here. They take their time, making sure every dish is as tasty and...
