I’ve been to this restaurant a few times over the last 40 years (grew up and lived in Pasco) and this last visit will be my last ever. I’m pretty sure the only thing keeping this place open has been the “beach” and tourists who don’t know what good seafood is.
I ordered the stuffed grouper and my wife had the grouper florentine and I can honestly say this was the worst seafood I’ve had in my life. Blandest piece of fish Ive ever had with what tasted like tuna stuffed inside of it. My wife said hers was slimy and didn’t taste good. My older daughter had the salmon which was just a piece of Atlantic salmon and was again very plain and fishy so it was probably near the end of its shelf life. The calamari was super chewy and the batter was not good at all.
My younger daughter ordered chicken fingers and they brought grouper fingers. She then had to wait to get new ones which took so long we were all finished eating by the time the new ones came out. And to top it off they didn’t even take it off the bill. A $5.50 comp goes a long way when you have a bad experience.
My suggestion is that if you’re looking for a restaurant to spend nearly $300 for 5 people is to go somewhere else. So many better places to eat in the Bay Area. I’m so upset I went here on 1/30 instead of somewhere else. What a waste of money.
Only good thing I have to say was that the server was nice and the wine was good. Also I forgot to mention how loud it was. Everybody in the place was basically yelling to...
Read moreMy wife had dinner here last night. We were seated promptly outside. We placed our drink and appetizer, crab cakes, order. The drinks arrived, the server took our dinner order and informed us the crab cakes are taking some extra time. Meanwhile, 3 ladies seated after us already received their dinners. The crab cakes finally came. They were round like a ball and thick instead of flat. Apparently they were prepared hurriedly because their was very little seasoning, too much breading in the mix, very little crab meat, and tasteless except were very salty tasting. The dinners arrive. My wife had scallops which she said were "good". I had what the menu advertised as "Our Famous Fish and Chips". It looked very good, a very generous portion of fish, and lightly breaded. HOWEVER, it also was too salty and the breading was loaded with garlic seasoning making it difficult to eat. I was belching garlic the remainder of the evening. I also had a martini straight up made with Hendricks Gin plus blue cheese stuffed olives. When I got the bill, I was charged $5.50 for a Gin Martina, $4.05 for Hendricks, and $1.25 for the 2 olives totaling $10.80. If I had ordered the martini on the rocks I would have also been charged for the ice. The food isn't that good for the price they charge. Their pricing should show $$$ instead of $$. I had been here before and it was just ok. After last night, I...
Read moreI'll start by saying I wish I had pictures of the meals, but there were many in our group. We were a large group of 7. Age range of 53 to 17. Everyone found something from the menu that they enjoyed. Reservations are highly recommended for any size group. No one had any complaints about their meals. We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms. Some had the New England clam chowder. All said it was good. Thicker than what they were accustomed to, not as many clams. But still good. 2 members of the party had the broiled seafood combination. One of the younger members of the group could not finish theirs. 2 members had the seafood Alfredo. Both could not finish theirs. The portions were large. I had the stuffed shrimp. With the recommendation from the waitress to have the red pepper remoulade sauce on the side. I was very thankful I did that. I feel the sauce would have overpowered the shrimp. They were so delicious. One member of the party had the Fisherman's feast. He said it was very good. He loved the flavor of the grouper. Finally one of the younger members had the Cajun chicken alfredo. He is a very picky eater, but he enjoyed the meal very much. I highly recommend eating here. If not for the food, the view during our meal was beautiful. After our meal we walked across the road to the beach area and watched dolphins feeding. It was absolutely an...
