I had the misfortune of not discovering the Hulmeville until I had been living in the area for at least four years. Oh, the wasted opportunities. Regardless, I try to make it to the Hulmeville at least once a week.

First, the beer: the selection is, without a doubt, one of the best in the area. If you live in the 'burbs and don't want to make the drive into the city to find a decent selection, this is the place for you. There are 19 taps here, including one for casks, that are constantly rotated. Want something brewed locally? The Hulmeville will have you covered. In the mood for a Stout/IPA/Belgium/Imperial something or another? Done. Friends still haven't discovered or learned to appreciate the complexities of craft beer? They serve Miller Light too. CO2 accident took out your arm and now you're scared of taps? As of this review, the Hulmeville has 61 types of bottled and canned beer.

Second, the food: The food can be summed up in a word: Meh. I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered here and everything has been fresh and made to order. You have your usual bar food staple of burgers, wraps, sandwiches, cheese steaks, etc. It's decent, if a little boring, but not what I come back for. I do recommend the homemade chili though.

Third, the staff: The staff is great. I hadn't been visiting the Hulmeville for more than a couple of weeks before my usual bartender, Jackie, made me feel like a regular. Our drinks have always been kept refilled, our orders taken promptly and the bill processed quickly when asked. Even when it gets busy I've never felt like I've had to wait long to place or get an order.

The Hulmeville Inn is easily a five star spot. If you enjoy beer and are in the area you absolutely...

Went in on a Wednesday night around 8 o'clock. The building has a nice tavern aesthetic and the bartender who greeted us was friendly. That was about it for the good. After sitting at the bar for ten minutes though we were ready to leave. First it was the beer. Either the glasses weren't properly cleaned or maybe the beer itself was just that flat. The beer seemed a bit overpriced as well but not a big deal. This was nothing compared to the food though. The cheesesteak pierogies sounded good so we ordered them. We were sitting by the grill and watching the cook begin to make a few orders. I've never lost my appetite so fast. He was handling uncooked meat, produce, and bread with his bare hands going back and forth between ingredients. At one point he picked up some pork roll slices on the grill with his bare hand then immediately dunked his hands into the celery bin to garnish a plate. That was the closest he ever got to washing his hands during the time we were watching him cook and I'm pretty sure he was just playing pool before he came back to make the orders. Nothing like some pool chalk to season your meal... The cooking area itself was disgusting with dirt and grease all over the walls. There also appeared to be sweet potato fries sitting out on the bar counter in a tupperware container. I hope they don't just heat those up and serve them to people. We didn't bother to touch the food and asked for the check without even finishing our beers. I had heard good things about the Hulmeville in the past but I know why I...

Worst service I've ever experienced. Arrived with a party of 6 that traveled an hour to visit due to the good reviews, and good tap list. Upon arrival the bar was empty, maybe 3 customers. The bartender (older white female) looked right at us and ignored us. Didn't even give the generic "Hi folks, I'll be right with you." I stood waiting to be served a beer for 5 minutes until she acknowledged my existence from her busy work of doing nothing and said "just to go have a seat and I will be over." We did so, and as we did, other customers arrived which she literally immediately served while we were still ignored. She then came over to our table that we had been sitting at for 10 minutes now and, threw down the menus, and walked away with not a word said. We then sat for an additional 10 minutes watching her interact with, instantly serving others, and take orders just as they were coming in. At this point, we decided that this establishment did not deserve our business, and we got up and walked out. I will never step foot in this place ever again in my life, and I will not recommend anyone to take the trip to visit the level of unprofessionalism, and ignorance was on a...

I probably have driven by this place a hundred times and never have stopped before. I was looking for somewhere different to go to lunch today when i saw their menu online. I loved that they had the wing prices listed as $ABSURD. It had me laughing and i had to stop in. Its a nice little local spot. Had plenty of room at the bar and table space available. Had pool tables in the back. Bartender was friendly the food was good and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back. Place seems like a good place to meet up with friends anytime night or day.

I love the beer selection, but don't really love the place itself. I've only had one food item, a chicken quesadilla, and it was pretty good. It's just got somewhat of a dive feel to it that doesn't appeal to me. The ever changing beer selection really makes up for a lot of that, though. I'd give it 3.5 stars, were that possible, but in the absence of that option it gets a 4.

Best craft beer bar in Bucks County, hands down. Amazing staff and service. Great draft beer selection and good, simple bar food. Heck, you can watch them cook your food on the flat top behind the bar!
