Guadalupe's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Huntertown

The only thing that saved this review was the staff and the service. My wife and I were first introduced to this place at a Komets game. We shared a chicken bowl and some chips. Food was flavorful and hard to put down. We were excited when this location opened up near our house.

Neither technique or flavors transferred over to this location because the taste was not the same. First time we came to the Leo location I got a steak bowl and my wife got her same chicken bowl she got at the Komets game. My steak was sitting in a pool of juice and was soggy with more of a taste of chuck roast rather than steak. Rice was bland and everything seemed to lack seasoning.

Came back to give it another try and it’s the same story. This time I got a chicken bowl and the chicken lacked flavor. Although juicy and tender it didn’t taste much like anything. Queso bland rice bland. The only thing worth getting is the chips and...

This is a knock off version of Salsa grill,and Chipotle. With a very Christian atmosphere. The Jesus wording all over the place for some may be unwelcoming. Nothing says shove religion down your throat like the walls of this restaurant. The food was mediocre and the chicken tinga definitely was not delicious. The remaining items. Were uncovered and as the spoons and ladles hit the displayed ingredients to choose from you could clearly see they weren't hot because the drying sheath broke through and had to be stirred,not nearly as hot as they should be,The temperature of the food was nearly room temperature. It's a pass for me,I'd say give it a try, but don't expect to be wowed. Very disappointed. Order to go and when we got home the lid didn’t fit properly on the kids meal tray and it spilled all over the floor. Meat is lackluster flavor is null and void and the entire thing doesn’t mesh as tex Mex. Corn tortillas were rubbery and split and crumbly when we got home to eat our meal. The nachos lacked cheese. They don’t use queso just shredded that isn’t melted. Will not be visiting again. Sent the company an email for the Leo location and I never heard a reply.
