Carrion Bakery — Restaurant in Huntington Park

5/31-I ordered a cachisflan plain white cake (no writing) with blue decor (border and flowers) for my son's confirmation celebration.

6/1-My son's sponsor picked up the cake for me. Drove from HP to San Bernardino. When we were ready to cut the cake, we discovered the cake had a written message that read "congratulations Elizabeth".

I immediately called the bakery. I was told to call the next morning to speak to the manager. I called the next day in the afternoon. And the female employee that answered the phone on 6/2/24, told me to take the cake back to the bakery. I replied to her, I was really supposed to not give out any cake to my guests?! SMH!! She began speaking and ringing up a customer in the store while I was talking to her. I told her that was a very rude way to treat customers and hung up on her. Asked her for her name and she said that was private information.She was incredibly rude.

This is not the way to treat a customer that is calling to resolve an issue that is in part the business's fault.

Our fault was to trust that the cake was the one we ordered since we gave the order name!!! Very disappointed in their customer...

I have been coming to this bakery for years until my last visit. I found out that the specialty cakes are now up in price and you cannot customize it no more. I mean really?? I have never heard of a bakery that would say no to a custom cake order. I even told the lady that I didn't care of the cost but she told me that the new owner made adjustments and custom and size for a 5 layer cake is no longer available. I stayed there for 30min trying to get this cake started but I kept getting the NO answer. Listen I love this place and the 5 layer cake is 🔥 but after this new management and new set of restrictions, I will no longer be coming here for specialty cakes. Sad that the new owner would let customers leave because a popular cake they sell is not available at any size any layer. I honestly wish I can give 0 stars ! This is a very unprofessional place . We ordered a cake over 2 weeks ago . Came to pick up the cake the day of the party, waited in line for 45 minutes even though it was already fully paid . Came to the cashier she asked me " didn't I give you the toys/ decoration ?" We said no . She went to back & came back telling us we don't have any decorations for this cake . We were honestly shocked and very disappointed. They need to be better organize. They gave us back only 10$ . Now we have a plain cake with no decoration. I will never order from this place again . They have so many flies on the bread and it looks very unsanitary. ...
