I’ve been dining here for over two years now, mainly on trivia nights. After multiple, consecutive meals of poor quality with poor service I’ve finally decided to write a review. I’ve been hesitant to judge too soon with recent change in ownership but this place has had time to work out the kinks. It seems that service and food quality have been on a downward spiral since the new owners have taken over. First, the service has been terrible for the last several visits. Over several visits there has been mixups with the wrong food being delivered, food ordered at the beginning of trivia being delivered at the end of the game, and difficulties getting a server to the table. Tonight for example, I waited 10 minutes for a server so I could place a drink order. It took an additional 18 minutes before I could place my food order. When my food arrived my two items came out 13 minutes apart. On one occasion in particular we had to call the restaurant from our table to get a server to come over as she appeared to be behind the bar scrolling on her cell phone. Recently it has been more difficult than not to get a server to tables for orders and refills during the last eight visits. Lastly for the service, several of the servers and one of the servers who identified herself as the assistant manager talk to guests, try to take orders , or collect checks as trivia questions are being asked this makes gameplay difficult in an already loud environment. Next, food quality has gone downhill as well. For five consecutive weeks my French fries have been room temperature, why? Portion sizes have appeared to shrink. For three consecutive weeks the pizza crust has tasted and appeared undercooked. Several members of our trivia team have noted the ranch dressing has tasted “off” under the new owners and no longer request it. Finally, I’ll end with some good points. The server Dawn, who is now rarely there on trivia night, is one of the most competent servers at this restaurant. Servers have been switched around to make tips more fair for everyone. Also, the salads have recently been been very...

Giovanni’s is our spot for trivia on Tuesday and things have been going down-hill fast.
The ranch and the bbq… goodness gracious the ranch is horrible now. We send it back every time and we bring our own. The bbq has changed too. My friends who gets bbq wings weekly noticed a change immediately and that it now had a kick. As someone with “safe foods”, changing the ranch and bbq was a huge no no.
The waitstaff… we love two of the girls who are our usuals. They are sweet. They understand our preferences. They are AMAZING problem solvers. The schedule rotation is giving everyone whiplash. The new girls are not experienced and we have had issues with them understanding simple things such as how to separate a 4 people table into 2 people per check. New staff should not be here when it is packed like Trivia Tuesday or football game days.
I understand that so many things are going on but walking away before we all get to order saying “I didn’t know you wanted to eat” or after ordering beer and then forgetting saying “oh I didn’t know you wanted it.”
You need the A-Team on Tuesdays… plain and simple.
The communication between the kitchen and the waitstaff is ridiculous. There is no reason why we should be getting our bread appetizer as a dessert or that the kitchen staff forgets to fire something.
If this continues, you will be losing so many trivia teams. You all have at least 8-10 on Tuesday filling your seats and eating your food. Make it worth it. The trivia scene in Huntington is opinionated, passionate and ready to go somewhere else on...
Read moreIt is so unfortunate that this place can't seem to catch a break. I'm not sure if it is the owner is hard to work for or if they just can't hire people that want to work/do a good job. Since the fire the employees are new almost every week it seems. The food (as far as I am concerned) is good, but the service is questionable. For instance today there were 3 of us. We all ordered the "lunch special" (that is how it is listed on the menu which is a one topping 10" Pizza and a drink for $7.99). Two of us ordered sausage and the third ordered pepperoni. After about 10 minutes they brought out a basket of mac & cheese bites and said the rest of our order will be out soon. Confused we said we didn't order them. "You didn't order mac & cheese bites? " Nope. Kid at the bar says oh those are mine. She takes them to him. After another 6-7 minutes our server brings out what she says is 2 of our 3 pizzas. She rang up the pizza specials for all of us which is a 16" One topping. After explaining that is not what we ordered, she starts panicking and says she can have the manager recook what we ordered but we had already waited over 20 minutes so we said it was fine we will just have leftovers. 15 minutes later she comes back over to check on us and I ask about the 3rd pizza. It was just put in the oven!
So, again the food is always good. But the servers are always new and orders get messed up. We waited way longer than necessary for what we ordered, and what we didnt. Lol. Don't go in a rush and make sure to be explicit about what you...
