Chicken Express — Restaurant in Huntsville

I have never been so mistreated by a “manager”. I went to Chicken Express this evening and ordered the fish. I’ve been multiple times and ordered the fish and they always make me wait so they can cook fresh fish. This evening I received my order as soon as I paid so I knew something must have been wrong. The fish they gave me was almost completely raw. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of it, but I thought it would be an easy fix. I took my order inside and nicely asked for them to cook me a fresh piece of fish. I saw the cook (who I now know to be Rickey Davis) literally use the same tongs they use for COOKED food grab the RAW fish and put it back in the fryer. I then asked an employee at the counter to ask him if he could cook me a fresh piece of fish. Rickey Davis, the GM/OWNER, walked up to me and yelled saying there was nothing wrong with that fish and that he would not cook me a fresh piece of fish. I then calmly asked for my money back and he responded with expletives that I will not post on here. I even asked him for the number to call and complain and he said he didn’t know the number. If he is the owner of the location, how does he not know the number that I need to call?

I ended up getting my money back after receiving more expletives from him. I will never go back to the Huntsville location since Rickey Davis was so rude to me. The words he used were towards me were so rude and completely unnecessary in any situation. Please beware of that place especially since I saw him use the same tongs to grab cooked...

Updated 10/24/22 Tried again last night. Completely wrong order. Told to come back today and they would fix. Went back and a very angry bald man told me I was supposed to bring the food back. I said I am not bringing food back all the way from nearly Riverside. Claimed to be the owner. Very nice young lady told me he was not in fact the owner. I really need a followup from someone in charge. This is ridiculous to be treated this way. Two other people were in there getting orders remade as well.

Update: ordered today to give another try. Order wrong. Tried to call and they will not answer the phone. Terrible customer service.

I don't deserve to be treated as well by a fried chicken place as Chicken Express here treats me.

I've stood by Chicken Express being the best fried chicken in Huntsville and I can say that with a lot of conviction since I have been to every chicken place here. I was a little surprised that I had never even written them a review before today despite being in Huntsville over 8 years now.

Anyways, despite us being in a pandemic, Chicken Express still goes above and beyond for service and chicken quality.
